    Quick dice update.

I got the dice from www.firebox.com

I ordered 2 packs of 5 but one set where white not red, I've just received a response back from them and they are sending out a red set free of charge Got to love customer service like that!

    Update from today so far.

(Pics are thumbnails click on them for larger versions)

I've recieved a hold heap of parts today thanks to www.kustom.co.uk . Parts include 5 red thumbscrews , a shuttle 200w psu , a sata convertor for normal ide drives and 2 blue 6inch cathodes. Big shout out to graeme for these bits

The sata convertor plugs into the back of the drive like so

I also recieved the second set of dice from www.firebox.com these ones are much more transparent than the previous ones as u can see in this piccy

Next on the list of things to do was to put my dice to use. I've seen something similiar before but not with these type of dice or anodised thumbscrews

    Drilling out the hole:

    Thumbscrew in place:

    All four done:

I need to glue the thumbscrews in place yet but you get the idea.

    Another update from today.

I have created the mobo tray. I made it by bending some aluminium round a large piece of wood with a great big hammer . Nothin like brute force to put a smile on my face hehe.

    Hupdates from today.

I've not got the mobo yet but I'm using the same one that I used in project apple so I took out the mobo so I could lay out the motherboard standoffs.

I've worked out how and where I will be mouting the psu and hard disc there is plenty of room for them.

Piccys (Click on the thumbnails for larger versions as normal)

Lineing up the psu and hdd:

Thought bending the ally would be fun. TBH it's easier to clamp and bend to shape, before cutting it..... that's the way we bend body panels anyway.......

Looks very nicely done. Got any ideas for cooling the thing? Or do we wait and see . That a Coolermaster LED fan or just a clear one? Any plans to quieten it down?

You like Gigabyte boards don't you . What are you using for the mobo stand-offs?

Cooling will be done by a single bloo cm fan. The one u can see is a white cm fan. I have 2 plans on how to quieten them not sure which I'm going to use yet.

I've used the gigagyte board twice as its the best spec'd p4 board around at the moment.

I'm currently using plastic hexagonal spacers for the mobo standoffs but I have some metal ones but I need some nuts for them but dont seem to have any in my current supplies

    Another daily update

I've been fiting the psu and and hdd. along with adding the other side to the mobo tray. I was going to do this slightly differently but I hadnt measured the size of aluminium sheet I had , I had a quick rethink and have it sorted now .

Anyway here's the pics: (Click on them for larger images as normal)

First off was the hard disc:

Then i fitted the psu :

A quick detour as I had to cut down the motherboard mounts a bit so out came the dremmel:

After this I cut and bent the other side of section for the psu and hdd:

looking good there Gordy...I am assuming you are going to clean up the edges of the Al? you might also want to make a bracket to hold the two pieces together because right now it almost looks like they are not lineing up properly
    XP2400, (2) 256Meg Crucial PC2100, ATI Radeon 9800Pro 128Meg, LeadTek TV2000XP all in a Shuttle SK41G and hooked to a Sony E540 / NEC 1712
