Well its time for the daily update, I've done a lot of the wiring today but there is still a fair bit to do.

First up I converted the shuttle blootooth adapater to work on the gigabyte board I am using. Then I did some of the wiring on the fans (I need to order some resistors for the leds circuit as blooming coolermaster use a different setup for white and bloo fans grrrr) . I did other important wires such as the switches for controlling the lcd as well as some parts of the switch bus that I am designing.

Onto the pictures (Click on them for full sized shots)

    The finished blootooth cable:

It really is a pleasure to view your progress as you take your time and produce such quality work.

I wish I had your bottomless pit of cash so that I could mod like that too

A quick second update for the day.

I've rewired the two cold cathodes I am going to be using, they are both bloo four inch zx mods ones. I cut off all the rubbish that I didnt need soldered in a switch for the switchbus I have planned. And then chrome sleeved everything in sight .

Piccys (Click on images for full versions)

The cathode with its bits cut off:

I'm not finished for the night yet but I will post the work I have so far today.

I've mainly been working on the lcd side of things. I've been making the plate and perspex section for holding the lcd unit in place.

I'm very happy how its turned out. The protective coating is still on the perspex and the aluminium but you get the idea.

The lcd and alumiunium plate in place, note its a ruff cut and hadn't been filed at this stage:

With the case top in place I took two shots inside and out:

    Daily hupdate :

I've spent the day redoing the wiring on the psu, I've chrome sleeved the wires as wells as removing certain un-needed connectors and adding others. With the p4 connector I extended it and add two leds which go into the connector to provide a nice bloo glow. I was going to do all the molexs too but it was going to be a real pain to wire up and it would be hidden from view anyway . I may change my mind at a later date though.

Onto the piccies: (Click on them for 800x600 shots)

    Lots of leds all bloo:

    The completed chrome sleeved psu:

The motherboard hasnt arrived yet which is delaying me slightly, hopefully tommorow I will get all the switches into place along with the cathodes and psu ready for the mobo.

I didn't get a chance to update the log yesterday so I will have two updates today instead.

Yesterday I worked on the power/reset switches and put them into place. I then made space for the two cold cathodes to go down the side of the case. After that I made a bracket for holding the blootooth adapter in place.

I should have the mobo in my dirty mitts tommorow and hopefully I will get the project booted up for the first time.

There are only a couple of things left to do.

1: Cut the ports and slots in the back panel (I will have to remove the parrellel port to allow space for the fan)
2: Stealth the cd drive with the stock cd cover
    3. Decide what to do with the volume switches
4: Put the brackets for the back panel in place.

Anyway onto the pictures: (Click on them for full sized shots as usual

    Second update of the day:

I've been working on the back panel this afternoon and I've cut the slots for the psu . I have mounted the psu in place so that I can cut the panel more precisely.

I've also fitted the led indicators for the lcd but had a disaster and broke the end of one of the leds so it will be staying out for the moment and I will make one up without the little circuit board.
I've not taken any pictures of this as my camera wasn't charged earlier.

Here are the piccys I have taken:

Just a small update today , still no mobo ,but its on its way.

I've not had much time to work on the project but I've fitted the mounting points for the back panel. I was hoping to glue them in place but the glue wasn't going to hold them in place. So I used a couple of small screws on each. I may had a fourth just below the psu but I'm not sure its needed. Tommorow I will drill the holes for the dice screws so you can see them in place at last.

Onto the pictures (Click on the thumbnails for 800x600 shots)

Its time for the traditional daily update.

I've drilled out the holes for the dicescrews to fit into and you can for the first time see them in place at long last.

Anyway onto the piccys (Click on the thumbnails for 800x600 shots)

I've got a real bumper update today:

I've made loads of progress as the motherboard arrived this afternoon so I was able to pretty much finish the back panel.

I've also recieved some tenderfeet which I am going to use as the feet of the case.

Anyway the piccy's will explain what I've been upto better than words: (Click on the images for full sized shots)

The cut out for the psu along with vent holes in the back panel

Smooth of the edges on the holes. Nice big glowing fan would finish it off
