Sounds pretty awesome to me, any game that is better than the first is a complete winner in my books
as long as they have my goggle wearing locust model again i will be happy

I never played the first one but I'm not very tempted by this. It just looks a bit linear for me.
List of a few reviews and links to them.

Nothing lower than a 9 from 14 reviews.
Living and dying laughing and crying
Once you have seen it you will never be the same
Life in the fast lane is just how it seems
Hard and it is heavy dirty and mean
Get or borrow GoW and finish the campaign; it shouldn't take to long and you'll enjoy part 2 all that more. Sure, it's linear but that's the point ....you're playing in a huge story that unfolds remarkably well.
Finishing GoW was a memorable occasion for me, and I finished co-op online (second time around) with someone over XBL...
it may be linear, but it has some of the best gaming moments of all time in it. the first time you fight a beserker is just amazing.
best co-op game i have ever played
I cant wait. I was a latecomer to GOW1 still going the campain on insanity desperatly trying to finish it before GOW2
Not really got into the multiplayer the only people left playing it are beserkers who have played it solidly for over a year without a break... not much fun.
It is a great game.
I got about 3/4 through the campain in the first and a friend bought it and wanted to do co-op. So after playing a little on Co-op went to go back to my game it had lost the save. God i was angry, only one save game!
Keep meaning to play through it again but having done most of it once lost all motivation.
I'll have to try soon if gears 2 is as good as they say.
Completed multiple times on all difficulties, and yeah definitely have a go at co-op if you can, its a really great way to play through the game
Cant wait for GoW2 now though, its really going to be awesome
as soon as im done with the campaign i will be
ok then, take these 10 reviews

and they pretty much all agree.
"The less you eat, drink and buy books; the less you go to the theatre, the dance hall, the public house; the less you think, love, theorise, sing, paint, fence, etc., the more you save – the greater becomes your treasure which neither moths nor rust will devour – your capital. The less you are, the less you express your own life, the more you have, the greater is your alienated life, the greater is the store of your estranged being." Karl Marx
