Well lets see, as I haven't recommended any tracks so far I am going to recommend two today

    The first is:

Roots Manouver - Witness (Sample Here - http://www2.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/display...;-1&sku=624856)

This is british hiphop/dub at its best, even the lyrics are typical british happenings quality track and now with the Mitchell Brothers - on the same label as The Streets - (not the phil and grant you will be thinking off) following close behind them in the same area its going to be a good year

The second track has to be:

    Slayer - Threshold (Sample here - http://www2.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/display...;-1&sku=700953)

Simply a great track, the timing and precision of the song is amazing, took me quite a few weeks to nail the timing and change of the bass line on this song but now I can't stop playing it and everytime its on, if I am near a bass guitar I will start playing it.

Think we'll go for some metalcore this week.

Bleeding Through - Love lost in a hail of gunfire

    http://www.trustkill.com/multimedia/...eOfGunfire.mp3
    (Right click, save target as)

They're an aight band, best of the genre imo. If you like them, they're doing a UK tour THIS WEEK and NEXT WEEK, supported by November Coming Fire (AWESOME hardcore band) and Cult of Luna (AWESOME doom/epicore band that I've already mentioned). Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a good night out. Tourdates on www.trustkill.com

    Mars Volta - Inetiatic ESP

    Album: De-Loused in the Comatorium

It's just crazy. Rock genre, the video for it is great, only seen it once though

Lemon Jelly - Nervous Tension (from the KY album... Which you will probably recognise a lot of tracks from TV but without the weird bits)...

In fact... Really hard to recommend a single track to expand your mind - how about some artists / albums:

The Orb (particularly orbus terrarum, and the aunty aubrey remix albums - especially the first cd of the first remix album - LOTS of quality stuff on that)
    Lemon Jelly
Aphex Twin - esp the ambient stuff though I like lots of his other stuff too

IMO good ambient music should chill you out - and amuse you - without resorting to "artificial aids" (though maybe it's an association thing?!? I don't think so though cuz I personally haven't done that kind of thing in years)

Honoop, you are so right. In a matter of fact I think the reinder section poop all over Snow Patrol. Another contributor is a member of mogwai, so i recommend Mogwai: Kids will be skeletons. Nearly makes me cry. You can get it from itunes.

My song of the week this week is Gotta Give It Up feat Kenny Thomas - Stonebridge

Totally infectious funky house with Kenny the god back to his old best injecting the funk into this song like a bullet through a goldfish bowl.

Infact - the entire Stonebridge album is excellent and does not fail to dissapoint in any area what-so-ever, and I guarantee that you will be grinning from ear to ear after a few of these tracks as each one is totally different. You have funky house, groovy funk and even ABBA-esque all on the same album
