EDIT: cooking my wife some dinner and paying her some attention was my pennance for tonight. That involved watching Taggart and doing in a couple of bottles of wine. Tomorrow she's going out with her friends while I spend the night at home alone. My duties will be done then I promise

Good times bad times by ledzepp, the early days album. I Love it.
Rhyth is selling:
Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 XR Di ll LD Aspherical (IF) £230 +pp
Canon 50mm 1.8 II £50 +pp Proven good copies.
Those who look out dream, those who look inward, awake. Jung
Disturbed - Believe
HEXUS|iMc
Flogging Molly -Seven Deadly Sins
Sort of a punky Pogues vibe, but foot-tapping stuff.
Smilly Willy - 5.6.7.8.'s
Like waking up in a foreign country with aggressive sex maniacs trying to speak English...
For me it has to be :
Band : Motley Crue
Song : Home Sweet Home
Reminds me of the good times through all the bad when it was initially released, believe it was also one of the first rock power ballads ever written and performed (At the time a modern band when most stuff being released was still Iron Maiden etc). Song itself lures you in, quite haunting really.
Band : Skid Row
Song : In a Darkened Room
Another one like Home Sweet Home, Sebastian Bach has such a powerful voice on this song, listened to it so much at the time of release and still love it to this day.

Right, well the flipping update has grown into such a monster job that I'm afraid to even start it. While I build up the courage, I'll suggest another track. Not a particularly unknown track, but I only heard it for the first time a couple of years ago, so I guess there will be some people out there like me who won't know it: Painkiller by Judas Priest from the album of the same name. I reckon this was the high water mark of British metal. Six minutes of full throttle thrashing and it hardly flags for a second. There are three verses, two guitar solos (the first of which is a true epic), and some of the most menacing riffing ever recorded. Rob Halford screams it in his inimitable style and the drumming is frankly apocalyptic.
Unfortunately the amazon.com previews are very poor, if you can find a full length copy of this listen to it a couple of times before you make a judgement, I wasn't that keen the first time round but it took a couple of listens to appreciate what it was all about.
Hmmm, My go again i guess......Something of a slightly different genre i think......How about:
Nine Days - The madding crowd - 01 - So Far Away
Dont make your decision on that one song, listen to some others. In my opinion the whole album has replay potential from now til hell freezes over.
Oh and rave, if you want any help, PM me, i'm sure we can do half each or something
Track Title: Going to port Washington
Album: Ghana
Artist: The Mountain Goats
AWESOME
Rite then, about time I suggested another one. I put forward Thirteen Senses - Track 1 Into the Fire from their current album The Invitation
Linky
The song was released in September but can't have done terribly well as I dont remember hearing it. Interestingly, Track 2 was released last year but is about to be released again and is also worth a listen.
If you're not living on the edge, you take up too much room
I saw them supporting 'the open' last year Pretty good, but a bit too much like cold play for me [too depressing ;p]Originally Posted by Honoop

Nonetheless I can't not recommend another track- it's Alone by Heart. Again the Amazon preview does it no justice at all- toddle on down to your local library becasuse there's a 95% chance they will have a copy of this quintenssential 80s power ballad. I'm half glad that I didn;t come across this track until I was 20/21 'cos had I heard it as a teenager I'm sure it would have blown my melodramatic young mind The genuine artistry of the production is just hugely enjoyable
Edit: anyone who doesn't feel a thrill from the intro to the second chorus is just not a lover of the human voice. It sends shivers down my spine every single flipping time
