theres been enough waiting for bulldozer! However i generally do wait till all have released their latest tech, not sure when intel is due to launch theirs though ... not till next year i think?
Three years! Bah!
My main PC is still using a 975X motherboard from late 2006 with a Q6600!
I think that waiting a few weeks more won't make your E8400 any slower!!

This article has some more details about Bulldozer:
http://www.hardware.fr/articles/833-6/conclusion.html
The author is the creator of CPU-Z so hopefully the information should be true.
Go go google translate!
This bit of wonky translation is worrying me, has the release slipped from June? "If the first sample Zambezi begin to be distributed, the launch should not occur before July."
The translastions dodgy yes. But I can see AMD "releasing" bulldozer at computex but it not being on store shelves until late june early july.
The first Llano mini ITX motherboard is sighted:

Looks like a nice board! I'm still waiting to see when motherboards will do away with VGA connectors, even if they keep giving you an adapter for a while. I mean I'm still using it myself but I wouldn't choose a new monitor with it, not even DVI for that matter - the smaller connectors are much better but since HDMI is royalty-encumbered, I'll probably be aiming for DisplayPort next.
Supposedly,Bulldozer is delayed to late July according to Anandtech:

However,Anandtech has been wrong in the past.
Cray is also advertising the XK6 which uses Bullddozer processors.

Yes read that article, what I found interesting was this
"Bulldozer will be mechanically compatible with Socket-AM3 motherboards but AMD will only officially support the CPU on AM3+ motherboards."
"To differentiate AM3+ from AM3 motherboards AMD is releasing a new chipset: the 9-series."
" Functionally the 9-series chipset is no different from the 8-series that it replaces; it'll simply be used on AM3+ boards exclusively."
The last quote was the most interesting, NO difference from the 8 series
Personally I have been looking for a matx board with 2 pci express slots that will take 2xdouble slot cards the Gigabyte GA-A75M-UD2H http://ghz.gr/forum_topic/first-look...te-ga-a75-ud2h looks alright is just depends on the price of Llano, have not seen any new matx AM3+ yet

Intel have been doing that for years. Asrock even made a P67 motherboard which would work fine with socket 1156 processors:

I'm pretty sure the 9 series chipsets support the higher HT frequency of AM3+. They might also be made on a smaller process.

It looks like listings for Bulldozer CPUs are starting to appear in China
