Re: Bio Shock PC Demo Out Now!

Just did the demo, really like the game, however the fps hit as low as 17, average was 25-30fps

If this is what new titles are going to be like graphics wise, then my pc will struggle...

Re: Bio Shock PC Demo Out Now!

The demo is way too short.
3 hours to download, 20 mins play time

Nice graphics though shame about no AA. I wonder if it'll be in the actual game? Some of the combo moves in the end video looks genius.
I think I'll be waiting for this to fall in price. Can't justify £25 for this game considering I'm playing some others. (catch up time)

Re: Bio Shock PC Demo Out Now!

Runs silky smooth on mine in 1024x768 and everything on high. A few times during the demo it did skip, not when a lot was going on though or opening a door to another section. Think it is because my hard disk space is down to about 3 Gb. Heavy action bits (end of the demo where you get attacked by a few critters) it ran fine.

Will do the fraps test tommorow as I don't have much time at the min.

Anyone else get random black boxes appear (they start of small at random parts of the screen then grow and randomly disappear)? Its a bit annoying as I can run the dx 9c settings on high if it wasn't for that.

Nope, not seen any graphical anomalies as yet. Im using the latest official drivers, not the new beta ones.
