Got mine this morning from Steam. Took around 40 mins.
Anyone else noticed that play.com are showing Bioshock as 'In Stock'?
My pre-order isn't showing as dispatched yet though....

Pulling it down now via Steam, saves a bit of hard disc space.
Can't wait to play on it, been following it now for ages. Still unsure whether to get the 360 version or he PC. Guess it all depends on how well it runs on my system seeing as I am running 64bit Vista.
Have you tried the demo Ferral? No one has reported DX10 performance yet and I'm kind of curious to know how it runs on Vista. And I know you are generous guy
just played through the demo again - very nice
first time I hacked a security man-hack in the last room and cleared the slicers prettily easily, this time I didn't and managed to die - it's a real pain coming out of those vita chambers with 4 gun toting splicers waiting for you, no ammo, and only enough Eve to zap a couple of them....
Bioshock - Limited Edition Steelcase (DVD ROM) Being Picked Today 1 £24.99
that's from gameplay, picking it and be dispatched today
Damn, I hope they have some left over by the time I get paid. Judging from the demo I played earier and the 360 reviews, I no doubts about purchasing this game ... it's awesome!
I just wish Nvidia would get their act together. They've released a set of beta drivers which apparently improve this game but I've got to revert to the older certified drivers to play Civ IV BtS. Without switching back I can't see the menu's text. Fix something ... break something else. It reminds me of when I used to have an <cough>ATi card</cough>.
Can also get the tin case from Amazon.co.uk for the same price. I've ordered one, but I'd almost rather have a normal case as it'd fit on the shelf better
Grovelling will get you everywhere!
I don't actually have a DX10 card so will be running the Vista variation of DX9c with my X1950 Pro (System Specs in sidebar). It will be interesting to see how well it actually performs under the Vista 64bit platform. If I can get a smooth 1024x768 with virtually everything maxxed out will be happy and roll on payday!
It is actually the demo I am pulling down off Steam at the min, always prefer the boxed version of the final release. Performance will be guaged (is that spelt right! )with the demo and I will get the latest version of FRAPS for the framerate.
Will let everyone know later today how it gets on.

Attempting to run the demo under Vista x64, I get an error about msxml6.dll, followed by an error about not being able to start the "gameExplorer". I've updated my 8800GTS to the new beta ones released to coincide with the demo. Oh the joy of gaming under Vista. I've got a feeling it's do do with a Windows Update on 14th August, where they patched some holes in the msxml core, but I've not confirmed that... I've not even found anyone getting the same error
