hmm just waiting for gay tom to get back to me.
Been playing this a lot this week. PC died the day after it arrived. Completed it twice. Driving gets much easier after a while. A turismo is highly recommended.
There's a Grotti showroom right next door to the perseus in middle park, take a taxi there, instant sports car in a choice of colours and even better it's incredibly hard to kill, engines in the back, it can take a huge beating at the front without any engine trouble. Just watch you don't buckle the wheels, so long as you're on the brakes when you crash this rarely happens.
Another tip, use the handbrake and normal brakes together, works much better, just remember to try and brake in a straight line then turn in and accelerate. Tail will kick a bit on the turismo but just boot it and it'll fix itself.
For those just starting, the blista(CRX lookalike) is a great car, not the most solid, but very good at dodging traffic.
Sultan RS is very nice if you can find one. Only complaint is the engine doesn't sound grunty enough to justify that rather loud dump valve
I wasn't to impressed at first, but once I didn't have to deal with playboyX, manny and hove beach any more and got onto the game "proper", I started liking it a lot more. Very addicted now
The jazz radio station makes for epic driving sessions through Star Junction.
Reminded me of this little wigger I went to school with. Called everyone n****r which drove me up the wall. He was just one of those people you got the overriding urge to punch as soon as he started talking. Must be 23-24 now, still lives in a tiny village with his mother in Wales, still a short skinny white guy, pretending to be some kind of big black gangster/rapper/street racer. Sad really, but back in high school I hated him with a passion.
But back on topic. I much preferred the mafia, gravelli especially and Packie's family. ULPC had some fun missions too. Gotta mention Little Jacob and Badman, love 'em. Badman reminds of someone else I used to know, but there's been enough reminiscing in this post
First of all I'm not racist in the slightest, it was the guys attitude, not his appearance in both cases that annoyed me. To me skin colour is just like hair or eye colour, nothing more. As soon as more people think like that rather than shouting racist every time someone mentions skin colour the world will be a better place.
If you really think my post is racist report me(button on the left of the post with a ! in it), don't call me out on the forums or simpler yet read to the end of my post where I profess love for two black blokes and understand that disliking one black guy makes me no more racist, than disliking one white guy.
That's the last I'll say on the matter, if you with wish to discuss it further, do it with the mods.
Keef, of course you can say that other cultures and lifestyles are annoying... that's part of what makes us individuals.
It's not at all racist to say that what someone does annoys you.
I find loads of things annoying; Krishnas, white kids pretending they're from some imaginary 'hood, text speak, 1337 speak, street speak, Scottish Power, the local council, paying BT £45 a quarter just to use the line and never make any phone calls, Chelsea wagons, school run mums in 4x4s, horse boxes, white van men, lorry drivers who jump lights, lorry drivers who pull out onto a roundabout knowing their 40 foot trailer will stop everything coming around, bus drivers who pull out regardless and pull over without indicating, people who drive too slowly on dual carriageways, people who drive too fast in built up areas, people who drive around with their stereos on full blast, anyone who wears a baseball cap AND a headscarf, anyone who wears a headscarf, anyone who wears a baseball cap sideways, trying to stream HD content over homeplug networks, digital TV reception, DRM on music I've legally bought, DRM on Nokia images I've downloaded, train ticket prices, hospital car park prices, fuel prices, road tax prices, people who wear tracksuits as everyday clothes, anyone who swaggers, people with more than one facial piercing, people that hang out at McDonalds, people who hang out at KFC, people who think Greggs is the pinnacle of baked products, Vista, Bluetooth connection dropouts in Vista, running out of coffee, running out of milk, running out of patience, British Airways, Stanstead Airport, Gatwick Airport, travellers who do;t read the security regulations on bag sizes, people trying to take three bags on the plane, people trying to take liquids on the plane, people arguing over their supposed right to take anything they want onto a plane, anyone, anything, everywhere ever!
But you know what? I tolerate them.
And tolerance is the big difference between finding something annoying, dislikable and not at all anything you like but walking away or turning around and slogging the kid in the sideways baseball cap or sticking a knife in the tyres of the school mum's 4x4...
Like chuckskull, I too found several characters in GTA that I just didn't like and couldn't wait to get the hell away from... Nothing racist about it at all, I just didn't like them, In fact, I really don't like Nico... he winds me up for some reason and I can't relate to him at all, don't really care what happens to him and basically I use him as a means to play the game rather than any want to see how he gets on.

I think, in general, we can just avoid using the term 'wigga'. Its going to get reactions from some people, given its obvious connections.

Are people really still going on about this? Ugh, I really didn't want to post again about this, but I have a very hard time keeping my mouth shut when someone is calling me a racist. I'm going to try and explain this very slowly and clearly. Failing that I'll just unsubscribe from the thread.
I don't like one FICTIONAL character, who is portrayed as a back stabbing, manipulative, coke dealing pimp, who sells to kids and thinks he's doing a community a favour in the process. The game pretty much sets him up not to be liked. Nothing to do with culture or skin colour.
I wouldn't of liked him, even if he hadn't of reminded of a single person or even if he was wait for it... wait for it.... white!
At the end of the day I have the right to dislike anyone I please, for just about any reason so long as I don't harm, persecute or harass them.
Racism is defined as prejudice or discrimination based on the belief that race is the primary factor determining human traits, abilities and stature. It is NOT the dislike of a single character in a bloody game.
I treat all people equally, this is not the same as liking everyone, it simply means everyone gets the same chance to impress or annoy me.
I can understand how most peoples knee jerk reaction to some of the terms I used would be to call me racist. Someone asked me a question, I replied honestly. I made no racist remarks. The only person I've insulted had done the same to me more than enough times to warrant it.
Please do not call me or insinuate that I am racist again. It is not true and it is incredibly insulting. I've never had any real problem with anyone on this forum before I'd hate for you to be the first. Now can we all please go back to the game?
Stop. Seriously, your just embarrassing yourself.
Thirded.
Can a mod not just delete all the silly accusations of racism from the previous page so we can get back to the point of this thread. The name 'Official GTAIV GamePlay Thread' should give it away.
Disliking an individual is not racism in any way. Racism is disliking a whole ethic group simply because of their culture or skin colour etc. Chuckskull dislikes this individuals attitude and personality, nothing wrong with that.
