I do the same thing. I do every object apart from the Assassination mission, which is normally unlocked after doing three investigations. Not sure it takes me a day to do the side-missions though.

A testament to how good this game is; I was playing it till 5am last night

The moment it gets repetitive pause the game and say to yourself which would be the coolest way to kill this person. i also found it quite fun fighting with guards by only using say the block/counter move and things like that.

while it was a little repetitive am really looking forward to number 2

    Re: Prototype

I wouldn't say it's a 'well made game' myself, compared to many other games are there that have far greater attention to detail and level of depth. But they definately got things right and gave people what they want once in a while I've only come back to the game once though after completing it, to get the 15 helicopter acheivement... the annoying thing is, is that if for a split second they lose you (even like 3 seconds) the whole counter restarts :/

    Re: Prototype

Just finished this game yesterday... was a bit of a laugh, but I thought the story was a bit weak somehow. Yet another game where concern over subject matter for a sequel came before finishing the story and explaining things properly I thought.

Mind you, there's nothing quite like eating a soldier's buddy, then wandering around on patrol as a pair, before heading back to base, and shouting to everybody that he's actually the target, at which point he gets shot to bits. Or reeling yourself up to a helicopter, hijacking it in mid air and then dispatching the other helicopters in the group with air-to-air missiles. Or the tendrils devastator, as is

Glad I played it, for sure.

    Re: Prototype

Just completed Assassin's Creed. I saw the ending coming a mile off – figured it out when I killed the big fat ugly gay guy (the one who killed everyone with the poison wine). I really enjoyed the final battles. Me vs. 100s of soldiers (literally) was brilliant.

    8/10

Now I just gotta figure out how to get back in free-roam so I can have some fun!

I was gonna buy this game before DMC began to rule my life (again).. Is it worth the cash? I was gonna grab it on release but then I thought I'd wait and see if it drops in price.

    Re: Prototype

Rent! You'll play it a lot within a short space of time and then never visit it again once you complete it if you're like me...

The story isn't compelling enough to lure you to recomplete it as it's a fairly repetitive game.

It really depends on what kind of game you want. If you were after something with a decent story to carry it along then Prototype is not going to deliver.

I think mainly it is a very manic beat-em-up. It can look visually very nice and there are times when it looks bad. I think it has a very arcade feel to it. That you will feel the most outside mississions when you take up challanges such as killing a certain amount of things in a short space of time.
I think the thing that is best about this game is your abilities and the way when chaos errupts you can come out of it laughing.

But then you have Assassins Creed. Totally different type of game in some ways. But both games have you as a character with amazing abilities for you to enjoy and have the edge over your enimies.

The thing is, Assassins Creed also has a story, better visuals and is a more polished game. And I picked it up brand new for £15 in Game. So Assassins Creed is a better game IMO.

I found that Assassins Creed is not something I found you could just switch on for 20 minuites or play in short bouts.
