    Prototype

I have been watching these videos on YouTube:

    Xplay newer
    and
    Older

I think this is due out at around the same time as Fallout 3, so not long.
I know these videos do not show the final game but I think they have messed it up.

The main gripe being the way you run up the sides of buildings. I reckon it would have been better if you interacted with the scenery more and climbed up. It looks static. What do you think?

    Re: Prototype

I had a look at both videos and I agree with you it did look very static running up walls a little too fast and should interact more like you said and when jumping on top of vehicles the same too it could do with interacting and damaging them more. Something doesn't feel right about it overall.

It seems an interesting game though I'd be interested to know more about how the memories of people work in it to affect the character.

    Oh

Balls, balls I have read a few reviews. They all seem to be rating this around the 7 out of 10 mark

Not the open ended expierience I was hoping for. I think I won't be buying this.

Oh well. Fallout 3 DLC incoming

    Re: Prototype

I'm off to get my copy from Game at Team Valley in about 20 mins. Looking forward to it must admit, first review is up for Ghostbusters which is also a 7 out of 10 score. Not bothered though, its average score tbh.

With something like this its a case of try it out and see wether you like it. Viking Battle for Asguard was a 7 on most reviews and I personally loved it. Granted though it did get a little tedious towards the end of the game but it was still decent.

Will let you know what I think a little later this aft

Hehe pop another mile down the road to Newcastle uni and you can test the games out on the massive projector units we have in the media lab

The name Ferrel rings a bell, you don't happen to be friends with a lad called Kosh do you?

you always imagine what a game will be like. From what I have read, Infamous was all I hoped Prototype would be. I will not buy PS3 for it though. Sure, 7 out of 10 is not bad. But it will not draw me away from Fallout 3.

    Re: Prototype

Don't believe I know someone called Kosh mate!! Might pop in when I'm on a lunch break as I work in Eldon Square!!

Played it for about 30 mins so far and loving it, its just no brain plain fun and carnage, yeah it won't win any awards but its just a good game. Pleased I bought it must admit.

Little tip for PS3 owners, I got an error saying there wasn't enough space on my hard disk for the installation which was a load of nonsense (for the want of better words) as I have the 80Gb model with a handful of games installed. Its a known issue with the game. To bypass this error, delete a demo or PS1 game or download something else to the PS3 drive and it installs spot on.

can you explore the city without being attacked? I was hoping that trouble comes when you start it. And how free roaming is it? Can you take a break from missions to do your own thing like GTA?
