Well I have given the PC version a good 5 hours or so now and I have to say I am very impressed.

Apart from the lag and browser issues it feels like a good game.

The best part for me is due to everything happening around you, the explosions the sound of bullets wizzing by etc, it feels like your in a war, a unbelievable battle.

Have to agree, really nice on the PC. lag here and there but nothing massive you wouldn't expect from a beta, with the large demand it has right now. Does have a very nice feel to it, get immersed in the game quickly. Looking forward to the final product now, didnt like MW2 when i tried it, but this feels like the real deal

    Re: Battlefield Bad Company 2

    from the mailing list
After some initial testing we have noticed a local setting on Windows 7 machines that drastically improves client performance.

    Test Machine
    Intel Q8400 Quad Core
    4GB DDR 2 1066 Mhz RAM
    Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit
    ATI 5790 GFX Card

    C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\BFBC2Beta\settings.ini

Inside the ini File there is a Setting to use a specific DX Version

By Default it is set to Auto, setting this to DXVersion=9 improves hitreg and overall performance.

This is with the latest catalyst drivers installed.

Yep, i would recommend to use the uk servers like killercreation.co.uk and multiplay.co.uk servers, handle much better than autoplay (no idea where that sends you to)

If you are playing on any uk servers keep a eye out for "Andy McNab"

    Re: Battlefield Bad Company 2

Downloaded the demo earlier today and I've got to say it is pretty good. The gameplay has had some major improvements. Enemies don't tend to soak up the bullets as much now, and it feels more comfortable aiming. The one map on the demo also seems pretty good, and stuff like the UAV and the Quad bikes and great fun.

    Rather impressed.
