About LinkBacksI got my bc2 files from fileplanet. It took ages to queue but the download speed was good, 500 KBps(US east).
Still no beta key from play, I'll have to phone them tomorrow if the email doesn't arrive.

Not to mention the lag in game. I shot some one 4 times with perfect sniper shots and the hit didn't register -_-

Loving this game. Completely blows away MW2 imho. No lag whatsoever for me on the xbox version.

Last nigth at around 11pm i joined up with some guys here i think and managed to score the most out of everyone in the server which was great.
i was a medic healing and supporting loads of people and even killed quite a few as well.
The gameplay is excellent and more fun and dynamic then MW2 imho.
The graphics however are poor imho. No fanboy **** but the PS3 beta had slightly nicer graphics.
The sound quality blows away any FPS game imo too. The gun sounds and explosions are excellent. I did not encounter any lag whatsoever and managed to join a party of 8 people with some from here easily.
Overal its a must buy for me but on the PC though as i prefer mouse and keyboard support. It will also look alot better on pc too especialy my quad core i7 system.
If i was to get it on console, it would be on 360 for two reasons: 1. alot of my real life mates play on 360 and 2. The 360 control pad is much better for FPS games than the ps3 one
mine and a mate's (who lives the other end of the country had ours on wednesday from play.com, left it a bit close though - don't know why you wouldn't have had yours yet, i'd have aif it's not with you toady..............hasn't gone into a mail junk folder?
well finally got it at about 11.30, from one of the fileplay ldn servers @ 2.5mb/s in under 10mins.
first thoughts, well looks good - bad(ish) language w. but the controls were slugish as hell. and either it was me not looking but i couldn't find a key to go prone . game browser crashes all the time, promising but there is lots for ea/dice to have to work on/fix.
the first 30 mins experience was positive - i was pawning untill it lagged and then i couldn't shoot ****.
the jury is out............
I read the play website, those whom order well before the 27th of jan should have the key already those who applied on the 27 or just before would have to wait 24 hours after confirmation, it has now been a lot more than that and I still havent had a key. I will be phoning them this afternoon.
I got the download links last night from mates, but all the servers were full up, but I have faith that when I do try to download it, I will get a decent connection from both the server and my virgin connection also.

Enjoying beta via steam, i think with this and MAG on the PS3 its going to be fps overkill for me over next few months
how does it compare to BF2?
About the same as the first Bad Company, I don't see a whole lot of change myself.

to me it looks and plays like 2142 - albeit with a different skin. i really do hope that they put a prone function in before retail. how the hell are u supposed to snipe by only being stood or crouched - not exactly blending in is it.
I prefer crouching when scoping anyway, I do on CoD4, I only go prone if I really have to, i.e I am being chased by some made man with an AK 47, in which case I run away, lie in some grass, then as they walk by sneakily stick a knife in the persons back.

As for the prone thing, don't think you'll see that introduced.. definitely not in console versions for obvious reasons so I doubt it will ever change in the PC version either.
