Probably from a mixture of Pobs mob trap and flint farm.

Could do with an iron farm, then we can get a good railway going between places.

At the moment I think it's better, but far from perfect. I was ideally hoping for something like 16 mins of day, 2 mins sunset, 4 mins night, 2 mins sunrise. That would make a 24 minute day cycle. The problem is, the plugin appears to work on percentages of the original lengths and the modifiers don't appear to work properly (i.e. when I set it to 3 times day length for testing which should've been 3x10 mins, it stayed day time for over 2 hours).

    Re: Minecraft?

Added DeathCount, seems to be working. Added a new time plugin, should have double day time, normal sunset/sunrise and half night.

    Usage for DeathCount:

/deathcount leaders [num] - Will display a message containing the top kill leaders up to [num], as well as your location in the leaderboard
/deathcount [mobname] [num] - Same as leaders, will display the top [num] kill leaders for the specified monster, as well as your location in the leaderboards.

It does work, it's just not automated.
To use it, just get a spade, stand in the water trench and start digging.
The stacks of gravel will drop as you dig and you can pick up the flint and gravel, put the gravel back in the chest.
later on when the stacks are all dug out someone has to grab the gravel go up to the top of the pillar (you can swim up the water or just jump place gravel) then start dropping gravel, as gravel falls you can rebuild the stacks very easily, just a bit boring to do.

AFAIK only by the player digging does flint spawn so there's no way to automate it.

I came up with the idea in my sp game when I found a zomibe spawner and built a trap around it.

PPS I've found a pig spawner, I need to build a trap for that and we'll have infinate pork

few pistons should be able to automate the stacking at least, no? might have a mess at some point

    Re: Minecraft?

not really you'd still have to place each block and that's the slow bit, if you just drop the blocks they go into pickupable item blocks.

I might build a platform at the top you you don't have to hold down shift to be in a position to place blocks.

Or just put a torch under a dirt block and pile the gravel on top of that. Destroy the dirt block and the tower of gravels falls down onto the torch and gets destroyed. Unless it's been changed recently, this used to be the quickest way to get flint. :edit: NVM, just read on the wiki that this will not create flint. I'm sure it used to...

I think I read somewhere that ALL spawners in MP show a piggy in the cage, so unless you've seen it actually spawn pigs, are you sure it's a pig spawner?

:edit: From the wiki: "In multiplayer, all monster spawners show a pig model inside, despite what it actually spawns."

or just build a tower of gravel under yourself by jumping, then bash your way back down :s don't see any advantages doing it any other way yet

    Re: Minecraft?

falling off plus once you're up building a 2nd stack is much easier

btw the water is there not just to get up but also to safely get down again.

yes it used to but not any more, why you have to do it manually.

Ok it might not be a pig spawner then . . . will have to test and see.
