    Re: Minecraft?

I've just finished lighting up a cave I came across (while en route to see what this fortress business is about). Where the aforementioned hamlet is, just North West of that there's a blob of snow on the "other side of the river". Mooch around there and you'll find an entrance underground. A few waterfalls, lavafalls and iron ore / coal is all I came across, but there's some interesting rock formations down there.

I haven't mined anything down there, so help yourself.

A good night last night, got the rail system completed between our houses, and then explored a new mine with Veew and Tobe. We all ended up with stacks of rail, iron, gold, redstone etc. The others found diamond, but not me Also I believe Tobe now needs several new pairs of pants...

[WARNING] #### was kicked for floating too long!

    Floating?
I've had that a couple of times, including when I was breaking into the strong hold.

It was some sort off map glitch, I was digging normal stone, which would then turn into brick for a moement then drop.
empty air was also showing as normal stone.

After being kicked I loged back on and it was correct.

One other time was when I was investigating a land sheep, ie a sheep that seemed to be walk through the ground level blocks not on top of them.

EDIT: and yes I'll probably be on tonight, just trying to make sure I don't go on every night.

    Re: Minecraft?

    Oh bugger, I updated minecraft

now it will not let me log on and I didn't make a copy before I updated

    EDIT: I've found this http://minecraft-minecraftmods.com/m...1-2-3-jar.html
swap your minecraft.jar for it and it works, version in game only says 1.2 not 1.2.3 but it works

lol.. coicidence. Same thing happened to a bunch of guys on TPU and their "official" MC server.

Uploaded the 1.2.3 minecraft.jar to downgrade it.
    http://91.121.194.115/TPU/minecraft_1.2.3.rar

Put the minecraft.jar into "C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin" (on Vista/7) and overwrite the "old" one.

You can force an upgrade back to 1.2.4 on the login screen (options button)

edit: this minecraft.jar includes Optifine cause I always have that installed. Might wanna check the graphics options after downgrading to see what it does

    Re: Minecraft?

    Thanks, that's probably better option

I've used optifine before, it's nice but it was clashing with the last set of mod I was using however as this is mp not sp mods are actually not wanted.

    Re: Minecraft?

Finally ventured into the stronghold tonight. Stronghold became cave became mines - emerged miles away! Between me and Pob we found at least 5 spawners of various types.

I now have an iron golem guarding my wheat farm and balcony. I've named him Tim.

IS the server up? I just tried to connect to it but it failed and it tried 'polling' it, but that also failed.

Sorry about that, not sure what caused the server to go down, but it's back up now.

Chuck me a PM if you notice it down guys, that'll ping me an email and I can check it at my earliest convenience.

    Re: Minecraft?

Well I've been doing a bit of playing around with the technic-launcher

I've spent a couple of hours trying to get technic it self working
But I've given up as it seems to be incompatible with 32bit java
It plays fine for about 5seconds then freezes for 2-3seconds then plays again for 5 seconds before freezing again and repeat.

However vanilla, tekkit and yogsbox work fine
