i am...just spend ages getting wasted in just one section...down the lift, crouch a bit, lob grenade, run in firing, take shot gun, blast doctors up...then get mashed through the next door by horrible jumpy things!
just got up to the next save point...and computer starts getting choppy so pulled out to find gpu at 58C...hottest I've seen it yet. hmmm...hope its not cause the fan's failing. heard a bit about that on the xfx's ... thats all I need

I just started farCry again a few weeks ago on the realistic setting .

I have to say there is a lot of potential for doing things different and the graphics remain stunning how ever often you see them . Saying that I see a lot of stuff over and over and over and over aging trying to get through it on realistic .

IMO its the best game I've played in a long time.

oh my god!...not wanting to spoil it for anyone else whos not palyed this yet i've covered up my post of disbelief on how cool this game is and where I am up to now...

right, i'm sitting in a drain/shaft of some sort waiting for the woman but she's cocked up, typical!, so I'm running off to save her. hav the rapid firing machine gun with sight. do any of these fire grenades as secondary fire?
my thinking is this guy helping the character is actually a rogue scientist trying to get hold of the technology used to make these creatures. or he's using my character in some way to release them etc. - as when i blow out the power circuits they all got free. and with guns...! so that wasn't very clever as its just made it all the more difficult. great! the guy you see on the tv screen (was way back on that ship's hull level i think?) has become one of those monsters...?
either way its all getting a bit nuts. but still; it looks awesome. not so awesome when you restart the same palce over and over and over again (!)...well, you know what I mean. highly polished game

Pressing x on most guns gets you a secondary fire mode- all the assult rifles have it, m4- single shot for accuarcy, others- grenades and rpg thingys.

Its a good game but the AI is pretty dumb, not a patch on HL2 AI. I like the water effects, pretty cool. This game has done alot to push gfx forward but not much else, Have fun getting through the last level! Hey I never new about the jeep rl either. Doh! :hand slaps forhead
