Lets not turn this into another my 1337 N1nja rig 0wnz j00 a55" thread ok?

Its about the games after all, or it should be...

I love playing HL2 with a keyboard and mouse and i have no doubt il enjoy playing it on 360, sitting in my comfy chair in front of a 32HD screen just as much.

That's just sad Consoles are about having fun. My PC is far quicker than a 360 but I have more fun on my 360

there we go. its a bit of a hack job tho but from what i can tell it works ok. id expect to see something similar for 360 at some point

an official one would be nice tho. just give us
    and a keyboard
but in white, with green underneath (apart from the sensor)
You can already happily plug a USB keyboard or mouse into the 360, but with the keyboard you can only use it for doing things like typing messages to friends and such, and I don't think there is any support for the mouse, besides the 360 recognising it's connected.

Any such support would be up to the developers disgression as far as I was aware.

EDIT: Actually just read the article, this item looks more intresting than I first thought it was going to be. Good find.

    The irony

What a surprise, a gaming pc is better than a console. Who would have thought it with only a £500avg price differnce

I love great looking graphics as much as the next guy but if the gameplay (read, fun) isnt there, a games nothing

at being a screwdriver/at games? absolutely, multi-purpose items have no right to be better at tasks than tools made specifically for the job.

Not at all. So the graphics dont look as good? how does that make the games any less fun.

well i just tried far cry on 1024x768 with no AA. and i certainly did not enjoy playing as much as at 1280x1024 4x AA. therefore the better graphics led to a better overall experience

So are you saying that your pc isnt built specifically for gaming? Your video card says otherwise...

microsoft windows XP disagrees with you totally.

or to put it another way. the makeup of a pc makes it multipurpose, it could be sampling music one moment, video editing the next, games after that, word documents, databases, spreadsheets, CAD, calculating pi, web pages, trying to cure cancer.. it could be sitting in a living room, an office, a lab. pretty much anywhere. this is what a pc can do.

a games console will always have the number 1 use of playing games.

do AMD or intel produce a processor specifically for games?
do ATI or Nvidia produce a graphics card specifically for games?

no, they can do more than that

No I really don't think people here understand that playing Daily Thompson's Decathlon, or Space Invaders or Sensi Soccer was such an awesome experience...without the spangly graphics
