personally i cant stand all this hype and attention that people who are too lazy or stupid to actually read a book and learn how to eat properly get.

Screw them, and not in a good way, i dont care about fat people or thin people, they can do something about it!

What about us short people, wtf are we sposed to do?

Yeah, but all these reminders don't seem to be putting thinner people on the street. You'd think with all this pressure that people would be getting thinner, but stats (tips hat to Funkstar) show there's more obese people around than ever. So what's going on?
I think part of the problem might be pushing people too hard. It's not 'get thinner and you'll feel better' it's 'look like this now or you're a failure'.

So some people tend to think 'that's impossible, oh well, I'm fat anyway, might as well be fatter, makes no difference'.

Some people can't do things by themselves though, they need encouragement. Plus, the healthy-weighted people aren't always the best example of how to eat. I have friends who don't eat fruit or veg yet they're a healthy weight.

Same. My housemate eats NO fruit or veg at ALL. His diet consists of rustlers burgers, tins of beans and stuff, and haribo/chocolate. He does no excersise, yet he went to a uni health test and scored perfectly in everything...I really really want to know how!

I seriously think cookery (or Food-Science or whatever) should be a full-time lesson in schools.

Surely people eating properly is one of the most important things for a healthy nation?
