Why do Americans say "I could care less"? The expression is "I couldn't care less" as in "I care so little it would be impossible for me to reduce my level of caring".
The American version means "I care a bit, at least, possibly more, because it is possible for me to reduce my level of caring".

When you plainly know that there is very little chance of fixing it as there is months of viruses, spyware, trojans and enough programs running at startup to make a grown man cry.
Then they expect you to be able to back up ALL their stuff, yet have no CD/DVD burner or backup solution and have over 1 Gb of crap they've aquired and want to save.
You look at your watch to see the time.
5 seconds later someone says 'Whats the time?'
You look again...we all do......why?
