    Suspicious ebay buyer need advice!

I'm looking for some advice on what to do about an item ive just sold on ebay. Ive used ebay for many years to purchase goods with virtually no hassle, ive only just started to sell things via it. Ive had somebody buy my item however im worried i'm being scammed somehow.

The account was brand new today, the buyers name isn't anything like the email provided. The email address looks like it belongs to a male with an eastern European surname and a thing for james bond, and the buyers name is Mary Beth.

The thing that has me most worried though is that the buyer wants me to post it to nigeria, thats when alarm bells started ringing, how do i find out if they are a scammer or genuine and what do i do if they are.

    Any help is much appreciated

    Offer a second chance offer.

Type it into Ebay help or go to the listing, click on the bids and there is a button, just click it.

Don't sell to ANY 0 new members. I've just lost £120 doing this, 4 months after and positive feedback had been left!

Edit: Had a fake email sent from Service @paypal.co.uk (with the space) its as fake as hell upon inspection non-payment proceedings have started. this is why i was so reluctant to start using it to sell stuff

Its not a serious buyer, please please dont send the item.

    The money is either

    a) Faked - login at www.paypal.com (type it in your browser, always) and check your account there. DO NOT click links from emails to confirm this. Its EASY to spoof emails from paypal to look like you have had money sent to you.

    b) Card fraud - speaks for itself

The money WILL bounce if its actually been sent. I can not stress enough - do NOT send the item.

    I agree with Agent

because of morons trying to scam the system (well seller) I now ONLY ship with a minimum of recorded and if the paypal isn't verified I call the person and ask who it is. I had someone win an auction for my w800i I sold and they wanted me to post to nigeria even though I said I wouldnt, filled in a form because I never said I would post outside the UK, second chanced it for a real buyer (1000+ fb) and did it like that

    REALLY isnt worth the grief

The funds need to come from somwhere (stolen card), or the email is faked. It will be one or the other.

    As for the edit

That isnt the case either im afraid. Even after transferring the money to your bank account paypal will STILL take it back if its fraud.

There is no such thing as "cleared money" on Paypal. If they want it back, they take it back.

Upon closer inspection email conformation is a fake, isnt even showing in paypal account yet and is still awaiting payment on ebay. Non payment proceeding have started.
