He's moving at the moment. Probably the worst weekend to do so, too.

Had he not complained, would the state of the bag been different? Revenge attack perchance?

i doubt it, unless the couriers/baggage handlers read Hexus...

The orders will have come from above to find this bag, no info would have been given to individual people as to how urgent it was or the situation involved

Awesome service. I decided not to fly BA after they introduced a surcharge to check in more than one piece of luggage - even if I have only one piece to check in. As a matter of principle they should let me take as many bags as I want as long as it is within the weight restrictions.

And one of my flights with BA ended up with me having nothing edible to eat during a 6.5hr flight because they forgot to a load a food trolley or something stupid like that.

    Jane Doe's Lost Luggage

Well BA lost my luggage on the 20th, or let me put it this way, first they said it was at Heathrow, but now the system says tracing. I also have things of importance in my bag. I work in Eastern Europe and brought back quite a few things that we simply do not have access to here.
It was my first trip back to the States in many years, the first time that I could afford to return and spend time with my mother. I also brought back some pretty irreplaceable things.
No one has bothered to contact or update us. We have tried on the lost baggage line, but it is just as Nick said. Also I contacted customer service, but it seemed that the logic of my being a customer, and the word service were without connection to BA staff.
I am also nervous to even write anything because of the possibility of avenging airlines, not to be confused with avenging angels.
In the meantime, I would like to be able to replace the clothes, tags still on them, that I had purchased in the USA for my husband and son. We are attending a reception on Wednesday and we don't have a thing to wear!
Why not just fly me in and let me look for the bag and then fly me back out with the bag safely buckled into the seat next to me?
They pretty much struck out with me, I had materials for my work, gifts, sentimental items, and a watercolor that my mother purchased for me as an early birthday present. Topping those factors off with the rude treatment on the customer service line, well, well.
I will never fly with them again.

Well done BA for repatriation of said bag - and all carried out pretty swiftly IMHO.

Looks to me as if BA were not at fault in this case as things started to go wrong at the Taiwan - Hong Kong end.

    BA.

Well Ciganina, it looks like the missing bag has at least led you to hexus, so its not all bad.

And BABagger, i don't know if you are just trying to be funny or not, but Nick and all other passengers that fly with BA, pay BA to provide a service, this service obviously was not provided properly and therefore it is their fault. Whether or not they use 3rd party baggage handlers is not the issue, the fact that the luggage was lost, then damaged is the issue and they are completely at fault for not using a competent 3rd party firm.

    Thanks Dareos,
This is probably not a bad place for me to land since I just purchased a DVC for work purposes and have no idea how it works.
BAbaggage...thinks may have gone wrong in Asia, but I was flying USA to Heathrow and then to Eastern Europe. The information that I keep getting is that about 7000 bags are missing.

Biggest problem is the lack of communication. Now there is note on my file that says OBX standing by for delivery. I have no idea what that means. It would be nice if they would drop me a line via e-mail or something. I think that is the main problem is this limbo land....

British Airways do not fly between Taipei and Hong Kong so it looks to me as if it was the ground handlers at Taipei or Hong Kong at fault.

    Dear MD,
Thanks, I felt that I was onto something, but I cannot get the customer service number to work. I call overseas and around Europe a great deal, but I cannot get this number to work. I have entered various city codes for Italy and everything imagineable, but no luck yet on the number.

regardless, the contract was between the customer and BA, BA should have more stringent checks on the luggage in order to ensure that this doesnt happen.
