*This was just reported on BBC news 24 by an Airport worker.

No sane person acts like that if they lose control of their car.

Why try to bring race into it?
At the time the news only said a flaming car had crashed into the airport and that is was driven by 2 asians. No mention of them attacking police, no mention of them having any kind of weapons or setting themselves on fire. Actually I believe the site said one was dragged badly burned from the car, rather than attacking anyone. Excuse me, for waiting for the all the info before passing judgement.

Anyway for the rest of us, this is being treated as a terrorist attack, according to Sky News.
Oh well then if sky news says so... lets skip the trial and send them straight off to gitmo.

Chuckskull - you would appear to be right - you know nothing. It seems highly unlikely someone just lost control, according to eye witnesses after the crash the man poured petrol on himself. Of course, don't let the fact that you haven't bothered to check even the basic facts deter you from trying to turn it into a race issue.
Again, at the time there were very few FACTS, just a lot of assumptions. Now it is being reported they were carrying Molotov cocktails and deliberately set themselves on fire. None of this info was available when I made my post. So no, I didn't know that, there was no way I could. I do know how to hold a civil conversation without insulting someone for having an opinion though. I quite frankly don't care what colour anyone is, they should all receive the same punishment for the same crimes and conversely the same freedoms.

Its about being able to go to work, or for a drink, or to an airport, without men, womena and children being murdered in cold blood. Nothing to do with race.

I wouldn't expect you to understand.
Trying to use heinous acts to win an argument on the internet? I'm not even going to justify that with a response.

Yes it was a terrorist attack and luckily it appear the only people hurt were those who carried it out. I still don't see how that gives you any right to speak to me like that.

Like I said to Stewart, none of this was in the news when I posted. The ONLY thing the news said was a flaming car had crashed into the front of the terminal. Based on THAT information I was not convinced.

Now I know more I am convinced it was an attack.

Accepted this is a very highly charged issue, it is easy for tempers to flare. I believe any one who would commit the mass murder of innocent people to be the lowest of the low and don't like to brand someone a terrorist until I am completely sure that is the case and I wasn't.

    No hard feelings

Would ahve toa gree, Its very Amatuer. Yet the threat level is still raised to critical... This is what you get for invading the middle east to be honest. They knew there would be consequences. Maybe its about time they got out and left the americans to it.

Thing is it took place on the first day of the Scottish School holidays. There will have been more families there than usual. I'm sure that was the point of the attack. Myself I'm meant to be flying out from glasgow tomorrow morning with my family for our summer holiday. Who knows what will happen now.

They are scum and should have been left to burn Though since he has survived I hope he is in excrutiating pain and is kept alive just so he can suffer.

Wouldnt want to be a Muslim in Glasgow tonight and thats a shame as the majority of them are fine law abiding citizens like the most.

Despicable acts and I have no sympathies for the perpetrators.

Critical threat level - impressive act for a debut PM. I feel secure knowing that safety of the state is top of his list of 'things to do', I'm pretty sure he'll have some excellent new laws and biometric cardigans to make sure we're all safe and sound.

Thats a very good point, all the Muslims I know(quite a few I grew up just off the curry mile in Manchester), absolutely hate and detest terrorists, most of them with far more passion than any of us. To them taking an innocent life is one of the biggest sins you can commit. Which quite frankly is how every person in their right mind thinks, regardless of any religion.

But sadly, there will be reprisals from equally narrow-minded morons and the spiral will just continue. No innocent lives have been lost because of this yet and I hope that stays the same.

At the end of the day the Muslim community can do far more to curb this extremism than we ever can.

According to bbc news one of the terrorists was wearing a bomb belt and that the car was packed with gas cylinders.. looks like the people at airport have been very lucky they couldnt get into the airport building as hundreds could have been killed
Wonder if they picked Glasgow because of Gordon Brown being scottish?

These recent attacks and those attacks preceding the 7/7 bombings are so weird, I find it hard to believe that they can be so incompetent this often! Something fishy is going on, I just know it.

Unless the authorities will have us believe that they just don't make terrorists like the used to?

The thought has crossed my mind to.

I don't know anything about making explosions.... but, lets face it - any moron can make something go bang and have devestating effects.

I'm not in anyway suggesting I wish they had actually of pulled of any of these attacks, but it does make me wonder how they managed to fail... on all of them, too. Maybe trying to hide a bigger plot....?
