    Google Mail Forwarding

So I'm just setting up some mailboxes and am using Google Mail, however I am handling 3 accounts in one Google Mail account. What I want to do is forward only _some_ of that mail (ones where the recipient is a certain address, and others where a sender is a certain address) to another mailbox?

The reason why I'm doing this is because one of the mail accounts is for a company I work for, and the guy who owns it wants to be able to see all mail sent to/from that mail account.

Now in Google's options there's only one option either forwarding "on" but for all mail or forwarding off, but it says you can set up the filters. I've set up the filters and I'm not sure if they're working or not. Any ideas? Has anyone done this before?

You'd set all mail that comes from "certainaddress@recipient.com" to go to "company@youwork.for" in one filter and all mail that is sent from "certainaddress@sender.com" to go to "company@youwork.for" in another filter.

I receive all mail into my GMail account - hotmail, aol, and two other gmail accounts. All mail I send from my other two gmail accounts automatically copies to my main GMail account by way of the above filtering method.

The only way to test it is working properly is to set up a dummy filter using a few of your own accounts.

Yeh, my problem is that it hasn't been working. The forwarding option is either "on" or "off", and the on button forwards all mail, so do I keep it off and set up a label?

    Ah, sorry.

Mine is set to on but only to forward those mails containing certain phrases (governed by labels)

Okay, so if you turn it on it will only meet the criteria set by the rules/labels?

    Yup.

Set the filter using the create a filter option.

In the first section you put the From address and define your filter further either using the Subject or Keywords options then click next

In the next section "choose action" tick the Forward it to: box and place the address in there.

As an aside I'm using Firefox with the Better Gmail extension so things may be different for me.
