if he scored 30+ per season in the premiership, I fail to understand how he will be judged a failure for not scoring 40+ in the Spanish league, show me a striker who has scored 40+ goals per season in Spain.
Arsenal have sold Henry , because his mind wasn't there any more, time to move on and fill the space with a new Henry.

Now I'm off to write some hate mail to Brian Mclair for leaving Celtic

God football fans annoy me. No other sport is so blindly tribal.

Right get this. Football is business, a manager or employee (player) normally has a fixed term contract. They can leave before the contract expires to find a different position. Just like you can. The end. This smacks of Rooney and how people in Everton thought he would stay there forever because thats where he is from, and he wouldn't want to leave to play against the best in Europe and try to better himself, oh no. I would love to find the people who used to lynch Beckham because he made a rash error of judgement and find out what they have thought and said since.

    Owww diddums

Henry made arsenal great? you have shown once again a lack of footballing knowledge. no player makes arsenal great. wenger is the one who made arsenal great, along with the players he bought ie, overmars, anelka, viera, etc... arsenal where winning things long before henry was at arsenal

and at pumpman. People in this thread has stated that he would do BETTER at barca, thats why i mentioned the 40 goal a season. for him to do better he has to score MORE goals than he did at arsenal.

seriously tig, do some research on arsenals history before stating henry has the ONLY person who made us great. we was great before that LOL

He hasnt kicked a ball yet for barca and his life is already falling apart. There is a saying in arsenal that when you leave arsenal, your career goes down hill after that.

here is the full article from the sun

Well Henry has diffinetly shown his true colours as a person and hope his career goes down the drain in barca

surely this kinda crap belongs in heat magazine..

Can you honestly say henry will score 40+ goals for barca? i think not mate cuz when he was at arsenal he score 30+ in almost every season. Now you people think he will do better? LOL please man, he wont even equal that record
I good football fan can see past his own team and reference to blinkers is a note you should take.

If you knew about football you would know that it is not all about scoring goals which leads me back to my previous reference about a fan who can only state the obvious.

sounds like a fan who is in desperate fear of slumping to mediocrity this season, look at the bright side if you make the uefa cup at least you have a chance of winning it

Arsenal fans should be thanking Henry for his contribution to the team over the years, not attacking him

there are many factors in what makes you a good player but when your a striker, your job is normaly to score goals and assist in scoring too.

at the end of next season i am going to revive this thread and prove that henry had his best days at arsenal

i am happy with what he has done at arsenal but not happy in the way he left us. did henrik larrson left celtic in a similar way by pledging a new contract a year before he left? did henrik make lame excuses for his reason? i think not mate

your right, he shouldnt have signed a new contract. he should have just waited for his current one to expire then left for nothing... good thinking! after all what do you need £16.1m for?

Of course because he couldn't possibly do any better at Barcelona, one of Europe's premier teams with a roster of players that are all proven in their career. With great, very passionate (not blindly so) supporters whose belief is the team comes before players (which often helps players rather than hinders).

There is no excuses for Henry, he wanted a different/better job at a different company. What was your reason for leaving your last company? Probably the same.

Jon you are getting a bit carried away, he's free to do what he wants with his life - I mean he's not hurting anyone (maybe your heart, lol), and as GeorgeTuk said - football is a business. Seriously man drop the super-bitter game...

Yeah I don't see the problem here. Divorce is (sadly) a day-to-day event. Just because he moves to Barca doesn't necessarily mean he's leaving due to divorce. He's been an excellent player for Arsenal and I'm sure he'l continue to be excellent for Barcelona. Wenger will just have to find a replacement.
