he would of helped arsenal more if he had gone last year.. 16m is nothing these days. you cant buy an established player for that money. look how much torres cost liverpool. over 20million and he is nowhere near has good has henry but still a decent player...

he probably though he might of got somewhere with Arsenal but after last season reality hit home and everyone wants to win Trophy's so he moved to Barcelona.

I watched a lot of MOTD over the last 10 seasons, i can remember at least a dozen occasions when a standard looking arsenal team was doing nothing until a moment of Henry brilliance made the difference and got them over the line.

But thats not the point of my attack against you, its the way you look to justify the hate of Henry for leaving your beloved team. Its the blinkered i can't be wrong, i hate henry because he's left.

He did fantastic work for Arsenal football club, scoring you all those goals that no-one else in your team at the time was capable of scoring.

almost every top team has one main guy that makes the difference. manu with ronaldo, chelsea with drogba and so on but to say that henry made arsenal a great team is realy pushing the button dont u think? i always thought football is a team game.

o and there is a rumour going around that when he decided to move to barca, he had numerous rows with his wife which ended his marriage. now if thats true than He sacrificed his legendary status at Arsenal and his family just so that he can win a stupid CL medal at Barcelona which he is not even guranteed to win.

henry has won everything bar the CL. now what would be your comments if that was actualy true? would you still be defending the guy? Please understand that im not critisising him has a person when he was at arsenal, im critisising him the way he is (an idiot)

Henrik was the first player I pulled out of my hat to be defined (in my eyes at least) as a major hero to the fanbase, and as such might not have been the best example but football is full of them. Contract negotiations are a 2 way thing, and the club must have thought that there was value in renewing his contract. You may think he was wrong to take the extension, and that he should hgave left for free. I personally feel he's done nothing wrong and that you are over-reacting.

Now Paul, you're just showing your lack of knowledge of the beautiful game with that statement.

Everybody knows that United is the United of the South, those bloody Cockney Reds are everywhere supporting the wrong team.

That just shows the lack of football knowledge.
How can you say Arsenal were 'ordinary' before Henry.

Heard of Ian Wright????? We won plenty before any one had even heard of Henry.

On TH leaving.....i am rather glad.....his heart wasnt in it and he was dragging the rest of the team down with him.
I even think Wenger didnt sign another contract whilst TH was around so TH would actually leave.
    Wenger will stay forever...
Let RVP do the talking this season.

finaly, someone that actualy agrees with me. tig obviously doesnt know much about football no point in taking his comments to seriously. tig do you know who ian wright is? anelka? viera? Berkghamp? those are just a very small bunch of players who where there way before henry.

if you knew those players you wouldnt say "henry made arsenal" comment

He did fantastic work for Arsenal football club, scoring you all those goals that no-one else in your team at the time was capable of scoring.
    Are thos nobodies like:
    Pires: 20+ goals a season
    Ljunberg: 20+ Goals a season

Did you know in 2005/2006 season Arsenal had 29 different scorers in the Premier League???? I thought not!
Did you also know that Bergkamp, in the 2003/2004 season had more assists for Henry than ANY other player?

Good strikers are only as good as the players supplying the ball to them. I grant you that some players do amazing runs and create goals for themselves but its not the norm is it?

I agree in that one person does not make a team but he was an important part hence when he was there vertually every Arsenal fan could not boast more on how vital he was with no mention of the other players they had. Now when he has left a typical Arsenal fan as yourself posts against him instead of actually advertising what he actually did for your club no matter how under achieving they are.

The point people are pointing out is your lack of knowlege of the game and of which football is not about one team and one playerits how you support those who play and have played for you amonst other things. People are quick to follow the crowd in football and rarely have their own opinions but the ones who do are usually right. For example was the script you linked to written and thought up by you or was it something you agreed with because it underlined a good reason to hate TH because he left your club?

why would we support our ex players who left us in a bad way? can you honestly tell me that everton fans still support rooney? or if tottenham still support sol camblell? i kid you not .

the point im making is that henry's career will go down the toilet. Look i suppor ARSENAL FC. anyone thats related to AFC ie the players, staff etc is who i support. anyone that aint, why should i support them? so your saying i should support henry and barcalona?

Wake up dude! and read what has been posted.

I don't mean your to support Barcelona cause TH plays there I am merely saying instead of following the crowd (Bah Bah) support him for what he has done for you. Bad tension has been created from supporters like you who are immediate to jump on his case because he does not play for you anymore I am sure he values Arsenal and what they have done for him deep down ask yourself why you should not do the same?

As far as his career going down the toilet I think you are silly posting a statement like this as it makes you look very foolish and only backs up the point you obviously don't have a clue.. ..

J.O.S.H I think you're reading stuff into posts that simply isn't there. Where is it suggested that you have to support Barcelona and Henry in his ongoing career? Why are you holding one player to blame if you think he'd not have been any good in the future? Surely if his career is going down the pan as you suggest you're better off without him?

Also your signature - if Arsenal fail to improve on last season you hope Henry feels guilty. He didn't play a major part last season, so if they don't do better (and how do you define "improve on last season"?) it's somehow his fault?

He was an icon for Arsenal. Now he's gone. Get over it.
