those who are not still discussing who has the best toy car in the play ground will probably understand and wish them well.why would we support our ex players who left us in a bad way? can you honestly tell me that everton fans still support rooney? or if tottenham still support sol camblell?
I don't understand the "bad way" in which henry left.
He requested a transfer, the club allowed him one and sold him for a proffit. He still speaks highly of Arsenal in the interviews I've read but said he no longer felt his career was best to remain with Arsenal. If thats down to football/personal life/pay/what ever it doesn't matter, he's just left the team in the correct way ?
I fail to see anything afoot.

even if he didn't value and respect it, even IF he said Arsenal where poor and the team smelt of pooh, he still went about a transfer the correct way.
I wonder if people remember that Henry did in fact come from another club, if it was not for this judas like approach of swapping teams half the clubs would be filled with youth team no-hopers.

ironicly henry's first club was managed by wenger
and very un-ironically his last club probably wont be

I know its kinda harsh for me to say this but I feel it was a bit selfish for him to leave Arsenal in the state that they're in. He had a great career at Arsenal but IMO, he didnt finish the job.
If Arsenal fail to improve on last season, I hope Henry feels guilty about it.
Why in the world should Henry feel guilty, he's left the club in the correct way, this is one of the most school ground kid comments I've ever seen.
He has a career and his own goals to think about, Arsenal could have enforced a contract or he could have been made to buy himself out of his contract, but no, he requests, Arsenal allowed, took the money and a legitimate player sale has been made.

Tthe best thing is that I find it amusing too. Just for a completely different reason.
Same here. How supposed fans can worship a player since making an impact for a side and then completely and utterly crucify him and forget everything he contributed to a club when he finally moves on beggars belief. People need to grow up and accept that players do inevitably move on and want a different challenge in their career.
No i think they are jumping on a far different bandwagon.

he could be implying the link you sent and you have led people to believe this through your post.
P.S I am no fanboy of TH TBH just wanted to give an objective opinion, I thought his football was good to watch but like many though he was too cocky. I think you need to read the nature of your post before you slam someone who is only pointing out the obvious

As an Arsenal fan I'm glad he's gone and what's more I say good riddance. He should have gone before the start of last season. He has been fantastic for us but there is always a time when a player starts to lose his touch and that moment came this/last season. As soon as a player starts to be linked with another club like Henry was then push him out because his heart is not in it and this will affect the rest of the team, doubly so if he's the captain. Harsh, but that's what's needed if you want to win.
One of the problems with football in this country is that alot of fans don't really know anything about the game and simply follow blind loyalties and then expect blind loyalties from players. It's nonsensical. I doubt any of these fans would apply the same logic/standards to their own employment.
As far as connecting leaving Arsenal with his life going down the drain, it is again rubbish. I say good luck to him at Barca and I hope he entertains those fans the same way he entertained us at highbury. Admire the skill wherever he plays. He will remain as one of the Arsenal greats and will continue to be much loved.
