I went to see this for the second time and I absoultely loved it as much as the first time. It absolutely oozes cheese and the story isn't anything ground breaking but it's just good fun and well done for the type of film it's meant to be. The CGI is absolutely amazing as well. I'll definitely get it on DVD.

Yes it's a tad cheesy, but the film is aimed towards your every day Joe Bloggs rather than your die hard Transformer fan. It's a no brainer of a film, which in all honesty is what 90% of the viewing public want these days when they go to the cinema. They want to relax, see some pretty visuals (in all respects), have their guts rumbled out by the audio, and switch off. They do not want to be sat there criticing the fact that "OMG Optimus Prime's mouth moves FTL!!11". There are nods towards the die hard fans though - the voice of OP etc.

If you consider this, then the film is pretty damn enjoyable and does tick all the boxes. Yes we've seen it all before, probably several times in truth but you can't deny that the majority of people out there will enjoy it. If my missus can sit through it and come out saying, "Yeah that was pretty good." then you're onto a winner.

I enjoyed it, and I'll make no bones about that. Simpsons next, we'll see how that goes!

    Thumbs up

Just been to see it with a few mates (Orange Wednesdays ). As one summed up: -
F***ing awesomeness with a massive topping of cheddar!

Although about the right age for when it first came around, I never got into it. In fact, the only thing I remeber as a kid about it was the theme, which wasn't anywhere in the film! I also found it slightly difficult to follow who was who when fighting in robot form. For example, on the way back, we suddenly thought about this
What happened to Barricade (the police car)? He gets beaten up early in the film, then you see him chase the cube later, but nothing in the city. Unless I missed it....
Anyway, I enjoyed it.

Me too, i've just got back.

Thoroughly enjoyable, but just lacking a little something.

Felt the same as Independence day, plot wise... so can't really complain... who here was ACTUALLY going to see it for the plot anyway?

Same here, i found it difficult to follow sometimes as it was just a mass of cgi metal... but was all good.

I just feel like the entire world can see something in this film I can't, so much so, Its starting to annoy me.

All I could see was good effects, with a crap storyline, crap acting and more cheese than a family of mice could eat.

I just wish I could see it, I really do.

Ah well... I can't see the fascination with Motorbikes either!

Yup, a lot of cheese was expected but it's 'a good no-brain cells needed actioner'.

Yeah, there were 8 Decepticons on my last count and the only one who seem to have survived was Starscream (hope you caught the credits at the end!)

Well, I like big robots. That transform. And fight. Got that (eventually), so I was happy. Thinking about it though, there were 8 Decepticons, but you only see 5/6 die (or stop moving at least). One got away and one of them wasn't certain.
That scorpian thing survived and ran away, so that's still around. Starscream flew during the credits. Barricade was never seen fighting in the finale. And I wouldn't be certain that frenzy died cosidering how he got away as just a head the first time Oh, what happened to the soda machine, XBOX 360 and the steering wheel thing?

Saw it last night and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Loved spotting the nods to the fans such as the yellow VW parked next to bummblebee (as a nod to his original G1 form) and that
Hoover Dam was one of the first places attacked by the decepticons in G1, and was also used in the film
I just this last night, and it was a lot better than I thought it was going to be. The effects were excellent. The plot was a bit weak, but that itsn't why you go to see a film like this.

I wonder if the will ever do a sequal...

of course they'll do a second one...how can they not. if you saw the end credits and watched the film carefully - without giving anything away to those that haven't seen it yet - it helps to know how to count...
also that the G1 comments are used in this film may lead some to suspect what characters maybe in a second film... if they do, I hope its just as awesome. Its a bit like Pirates, not a great deal of thought required but a great ride...

I freaking LOVED this movie to death, and I loved all the original tributes such as when they transformed you could still hear the old but distinguishable tss-tosssh-tooossh transforming sound... that made me almost jump in excitement. And the part where you get the first transformer attack at the military base is INSANELY cool. GG Micheal Bay sir
