Yeah, not sure why a lot of people don't like Michael Bay, when a Michael Bay movie comes out I know it'll be an enjoyable actioner.
Just like I know Jerry Bruckheimer produced films are always good.

Heh the bashing is pretty bad on the imdb forums, but to be fair he's undoubtedly one of the best action directors around.

However he has his fair share of misses when they're pretty formulaic and it can be hard to be discern some of action when he's overzealous with his camera shots.

Transformers is probably his best film to date but it definitely has its fair share of flaws but they're easy to over look if you wanna relax and enjoy a fun movie.

Just watched it, it was better than I expected. I didn't care much about the hacker parts, but the action was pretty entertaining. Starscream looked great.

I thought it was good, not great, visual effects were indeed breathtaking - well actually they just seemed real - but the cheese was awful, and the teenage love scenes painful - also, was their meant to be a story - for me the story could be summed up in 3 words: get the cube lol

He gets bashed because his films largely follow the same formula.

They are all highly predictable, packed of cheese, action based.
Why every film has to have a love story running through it I'll never know, but it narks me off immensely. Some of the parts in his films almost make me embarrassed to be watching them. The scripts could be improved massively.
And be honest with me here, could you honestly say that you couldn't see things before they happened?

Maybe I'm a weird one, but I prefer to not know what's going to happen and be surprised, rather than pretty much know the ending after the initial 15 minute introduction into what the plot is.

One of the best? Not in a million years IMO

Brilliant film., I was a fan of transformers as a kid, and Michael Bay didnt not ruin my fond childhood memories... it was much better than Amargeddon or Pearl Harbour, it will definately be a DVD purchase...

oh and yea Megan Fox is smokin!!

excellent movie, definitely one for the cinema!
amazing cgi, corny story but a few laughs - really lived up to my childhood expectations of a big budget transformers movie!
