Royal Mail have been utterly useless in the past when I've complained to them about missing post. They sent me a form basically saying "We wont do anything unless you send proof of postage"... and as it was other people sending me stuff, there was no way of providing proof of postage.
Anyway, let me know how you get on.

Best to avoid anything that smells like screwing with the police, so the fake anthrax is out, but I definitely like the idea of UV markers. Even though redlight thinks that the Post Office Special Investigation Squad are horrible nasty creatures, that sounds good to me. If you want to have someone necked silently for stealing your post, who better?
