Steal everyone elses mail!
Steal everyone elses mail!
First off go to you your local PO and fill out a complaints form.
If it is someone from one of the other flats then its likely others have missing mail and may well have complained.
Royal Mail has a very good investigations branch and if it is a postie stealing regularly they usually get caught very quickly.
But that only happens if people fill out a complaints form.
If its one of your neighbours they have methods for dealing with that and it not does not include sending out a test letter with Royal Mail stamped on it.(temptation+greed a great combination)
so why did i get a royal mail branded letter sent to me after complaining mail was going missing or being shoved through the wrong door?
never got any other letter, or asked if i got an unmarked "test" letter

If you are going to booby trap an envelope, then mark it fragile or valuable or something will make them want to take a peek.

That letter was not a test letter it was a standard response from Royal Mail which of course carries the business logo.
They not send out test letters that look like test letters.
Remember there are many ways of testing and if its serious enough it includes testing you and so you would never know and you never will.(unless you fell for it)
Zak33 no need to use coloured envelopes just address it to a child.
birthday card, with sellotape across it and a do not open until (a week after its being sent) date on it..
they will not be able to resist as they assume its going to contain a cash present !
yeh dont <4 leter word> with the queen !
Steal their mail. Remember, two wrongs make a right.
I think the UV dust one is a good idea but will cost a bit. You could get a hand held black light and scan the doors etc. how many people live before you? you could plant the dvd and watch through your spy
hole and everytime someone goes past check to see if its be taken/opened. When you have other
things to do then take it out. Do you have a communal entrance camera? you could turn that on and see someone come in.
Unfortunately there's no entrance camera, the post cupboard is on the ground floor and my flat is on the 4th, so it's going to have to be something remote, scanning door handles with the black light is a great suggestion
