Crikey, a response before I'd even edited my poorly written post, far too quick of the mark for this time of night.

How come when I log into this place at silly o'clock it's always other Glaswegians that are on ? That's equally as scary as us all living within 10 minutes of each other

Well i'm from further north but the kid that was at 'devernshire ' is now one of the head chefs at Cameron house which is up at loch lomand , that lomand does not look right -must be the time of night . Anyway ,he stays roundabout 'coatbridge ' atm. He was the 'Gordon Ramay scholarship winner the year before last . I have a nice 06 car to prove it ..

Congrats. I am sick of renting, dealing with estate agents, landlords, not being able to do things to the place the way I like it and assorted other crap. Really want to get my own place.

It is a bit odd how there's lots of us in the West of Glasgow, then a jump to Bothwell/Hamilton etc., some in Aberdeen, some Inverness - I don't think that I've ever seen someone post from Edinburgh (Hexus obviously isn't grand enough )

Enjoy being a home owner - its a nice feeling to own your own house (although its really the bank).

What's the first thing you bought for it?

First thing I bought was a bed. 2nd was a surround sound system

    Re: I just bought a house :)

I already have the bed and the surround sound system
I've not actually bought anything for it yet, as i've been too busy being bombarded with people saying, "oh, you can have this and this and this"

Got some extremely good news today, the estate agent in charge of the property phoned and it turns out that the vendors have managed to bring their moving date forward to the 26th of October, so we're moving in a month early!! so excited

    Re: I just bought a house :)

i was helped out by my maw and paw, who re-morgaged their house, so they could provide me with some funds. Its a long and complicated story, involving seperation and getting back together, but basically, my mum now owns the house, and the financial settlement that was to go to my dad, has partly gone to me. With my dad being mortage free, he can guarantee a larger value of income, thus, we can afford a better flat
