Did anyone hear 5 Live this morning?

    Victoria Derbyshire's program....

the interview with the couple who won £100,000 on a scratch card.... the couple who are both on Incapacity and Disability income support....the couple who spent all the money in under 18 months, and are now asking for the Council to pay their rent.... the couple who wasted all that dough and can't account for all of it....the couple who brought a £22000 caravan with it and a car, and who "invested" in in a "bad deal" with a Bank....

I laughed so much I had to pull over.... I'd have crashed if I'd carried on driving, I swear.

I read about this a few days ago, cant remember where though.

Im so glad the council are paying them nothing, they dont deserve any of the benefits there claiming, although apparently from what I read they have receipts for everything yet still cant account where almost £30k went!

Re: Did anyone hear 5 Live this morning?

I've just found it on their website and I'm laughing so hard again....

"But we've not got the money...we spent it...I'll take alie dectector test to prove it!"

They just did not understand why the entire country was getting riled with them. It was beyond their intellect.

"It's not the we don't want to pay, we just don't have the money"

    Oh my sides

Does anyone know if you can sell a caravan and a car once you've bought them?

Re: Did anyone hear 5 Live this morning?

I hope they paid there own way to get on that Radio 5 show - I'd hate to think any of our license fee/tax went towards that twaddle.

The woman said "I spent it because it was mine", and now she wants to spend tax payers money because of their incompetence? Totally disgusting.
My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

Re: Did anyone hear 5 Live this morning?

I can't be bothered to listen, but I think I get the gist, which is that some poor people on benefits won £100,000 and then wasted it all. But I thought that was the point of the lottery? You pay your pound or two for a ticket or a scratchcard, and if you win the money's yours tax free to do what you like with?

At the end of the day, the system we have in this country seems to reward the feckless. Your benefits are reduced or stopped if you have more than £16k in savings; if you need to go into a care home in your old age you can be forced to sell your home to pay for it. Clearly, the smart thing to do under such a system is to spend your money while you have it, because it'll like as not be taken off you anyway if you don't. If you ask me, these people are very smart.

    So did i!
    Scruffy, idle lay abouts.

I hope they rot in a gutter. The peasants havent dragged their lazy arses out of their armchairs for years (besides to go on luxury holidays).

They are nothing but work-shy scroungers!

They said the missing £30K went on fruit machines and beer.
(I think at least £10K of it went on really big cakes).

    Bloody right too.
These pair havent worked for years and years. Not because they cant. Its because they are too fat and lazy to get up in the morning.
Lets not forget aswell, that scratch card was paid for by some poor bugger in a factory earning £5 an hour. Should he, and other like him keep paying their bills when they have £100K?
    They shouldnt get a penny.

    Bingo!

The more you earn, the more you get taxed, enless your super rich non dom obviously.

The more you save, the more you loose in benefits.

If you work, you pay for perscriptions even thou you might only be earning minimum wage. if you sit on your arse its free, and much easyer to see someone because your schedual can work around them.
