Given that RC1 still leaks memory like an old person leaks bodily fluids, i don't see the point of rushing to early adopt.

I don't see the point in rushing to early adoption because of extension compatibility...although now I know this, I probably won't upgrade till 3.0.0.10 or something, like I did with FF 1.5 > 2.0...

(plus i think it speaks dividends for the quality of a release if rather than triumphing its technical advances, or amazing performance that they instead resort to creating a record for them to win)

Just install nightly tester and all your extensions will work The only one that didn't for me was RIP but that has just been updated so it now does.

Wouldn't getting it from rapidshare mess up the statistics? Or does it call home when you launch it?

Not sure tbh mate. Ive got that so i can use it now. i will download it later again to make sure though. this is for people who cant wait. you can always download it a second time!
