That film has both Captain Kirk and Winston from Ghostbusters.

Any mention of the 2nd Matrix film yet? The one that had people thinking "oh just SHUT UP" after each 30 minute speech and "get on with it" 45 minutes into each fight.

I was having trouble narrowing down which Tim Burton flick I despise the most. Then I remembered about Tarantino....

Not because it was particularly unique, but I liked the way it used the elements typical of Japanese horror (and I've seen my share) and put them together.

Worst movie ever. Not sure. But I was probably most disappointed by the Titanic. I don't mind romance when it's done well, but for that movie that did so well commercially, hyped so much prior it's release, it was just too cheesy to be an A-rated movie. If I watch a movie like Alien vs Hunter, I would set my expectation so low that I probably wouldn't be as disappointed. There are a bunch of movies that disappointed me due to very high expectations (subsequent Matrix movies come to mind), but at least they did not last 3.5 hours long.. and my expectations for the most expensive movie made at the time was not even as high (I realise that romantic movies can often cross the line between moving/heart-warming/feel good to tacky/cheesy/annoying).

Not seen the original I'm affraid but the remake was horrid. It was just a really bad clone of the ring in my eyes. I'm not a big fan of horror movies anyway.. they're all a bit of a joke to me. The Mrs likes them though so I just put up and shut up.. until after and then I mock them

I actually quite liked the matrix reloaded.. I don't know why as most people seem to dislike it but nevermind lol

Never got to the end of Titanic.. So I agree that's probably one of the worst big budget movies lol

Bicentennial Man certainly falls into the 'so appallingly bad it's hillarious' category.

Worse than showgirls? lol Both pretty bad though I agree.

I actually agree with the Producers for this. I had no idea what this was until I got into the cinema and then they started singing.. and I hate musicals.

This didn't just fall short of the mark because of the singing though, it was just so long and boring I was actually praying for it to end after an hour and a quater. I had managed to
forget it ever happened but it's all coming back to me now *twitches*.

I can't believe anyone stuck up for this film - here's the plot.
    Girl doesn't talk to anyone.
    Girl sings and is amazing.
Someone puts her on the stage.
    She freezes.
    Someone burns the building down.
    The end.

Re: Worst Movie In The World. Ever. Ever.

I am almost in total agreement with the sentiments of this thread as a few months ago, i staggered home drunk, was nothing on TV and i thought to myself, lets get Ghost Rider on Box Office..

even drunk that film is unwatchable

I do however count Meet Joe Black as one of my all time favourites, although i disliked it first time i saw it, but then i do love the delectable Clare Forlani

Anyways, as i cannot quite make up my mind as to which mind numbingly boring film i would rate as the worst ever (2001: A Space Odyssey maybe? Solaris? Police Acadamy 1 through 6? (7 had Miss Forlani so its watchable) Just Married etc etc), i would like to propose a new thread.

Movies so bad they are actually good! or Movies spoiled by one thing!

just an example of the 2nd one there, Showdown in Little Tokyo starrring none other than Brandon Lee, son of the erstwhile Bruce. As far as buddy buddy movies go its not bad and Lee shows some impressive moves, but it all comes down to the line after Lundgren gets out of the hot tub and Lee says (censored of course) "you have the biggest *&^*(^&( i have ever seen on a man"

Now exactly where did that come from? Did some scriptwriter actually think that this was some kind of male bonding banter and that gun toting martial art masters actually go around congratulating one another on their genitalia? All in All, a very very strange line in that movie.
We're only here for the Banter - The Luvvies - Chewin' The Fat

Violence and Lubrication is the solution to fixing everything, if it still doesn't work, you need more lubrication.

Agree and can I add the following wonders of the recent cinema world....

VALENTINE Went to see it with a friends as we both fancied David 'Supermarket Trolley Wheel Eyes' Boreanaz, don't think I've spoken to her since!

Pirates of the Carribean 3 - utter tosh - 2 was bad but 3 took the biscuit!

    and finally

anything with Eddie Murphy in - particularly when dressed as a fat man/woman

I gotta say in the "so bad it's good" catagory I have to nominate No Retreat No Surrender. Best unintentional comedy ever.

Re: Worst Movie In The World. Ever. Ever.

Another one I watched a few nights ago on Sky was Sunshine. Kind of felt like they were trying to imitate the excellent Event Horizon but failed miserably.

Long winded and boring with a few moments that did get better but nothing overly spectacular.
