I have to say that i think Russia is unlikely to pull out.

It wants to show its force not only to georgia but the rest of the world. And no doubt wants to send a clear message to the USA which is "the cold war may be over but we will not be intimidated by you".

I then think america may aid georgia militarily and that this could get real out of hand real fast. But i have no doubt that Russia won't be bullied by outside powers. Not this time.
