Here we go
I was waiting for someone to post that I don't see the ad getting pulled as it's not being untruthful. If they said "there is no god" then there may be a case but it doesn't.
does the ASA work on a balance of probabilities like civil matters?
If so wouldn't that mean the ernist is on the nutters to prove that god exists (which is of course impossible, the FSM is invisible after all).
Given that its incredibly straight forward to prove on a balance of probabilities level that something which has no signs of ever existing, dosen't exist..... Can't help but feeling they are speeding up their own demise.
throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception)
This is hilarious. Let me guess, christian voice is probably one of the more nuttier religious organisations. I'd google them but I fear in doing so I might lose tens of IQ.
"Reality is what it is, not what you want it to be." Frank Zappa. ----------- "The invisible and the non-existent look very much alike." Huang Po.----------- "A drowsy line of wasted time bathes my open mind", - Ride.
To be honest, i'd love for this to go to court. Whether atheism is right or wrong, and i belive it's right, generally religion tends to lose on arguments of logic.
This is a pointless exercise by Christian Voice. Maybe we should complain about all the adverts on the sides of churches, and the people that they no doubt put on the streets to "spread the good word". Somewhat hypocritical, no?
I'm not so sure - do Christians have to prove there is a god when handing out their leaflets and promoting their religion?
Is this the same Christians who have changed their stance on...well....almost everything over the last few 1000 years? But organisation Christian Voice has complained to the Advertising Standards Authority saying they break rules on substantiation and truthfulness.
we are going to have to stop talking like this people or we are going to invoke fuddam.

A few of my friends actually got into a disagreement with Christian Voice a few years ago:

I'm sure there are a few more photos somewhere, but I haven't found them yet...
The ASA lets ISPs advertise 'unlimited' bundles with 'fair use' clauses so I wouldn't bank on a fair or even logical conclusion to anything they're involved with tbh.

Well I've managed to exist for almost 30 years with one point of view being pushed, I'm sure I can live another 30 with another being pushed. I'm pretty much agnostic, so it makes little to no odds to me.
Put another way - adverts on buses don't make me want to go and watch films, they're certainly not going to change my personal set of beliefs.
Is the Bible still used? I've a feeling you're just oath-bound to tell the truth now (no placing of hand on the Bible and all that jazz.) I could be wrong though (it happens a lot.)
