well, mine has royally messed up, went over it again today on this 2nd machine, and its logged itself as Jonny, none of the previous work has been recognised, so its starting over.

I now have no idea what will happen on main machine when i get it working again, it may register as Dareos or Jonny ID1, but at least its adding to Hexus scores atm.

Violence and Lubrication is the solution to fixing everything, if it still doesn't work, you need more lubrication.

Come on guys, let's get folding again! I'm sure some of your have some spare PCs sitting at home/work that could be dedicated to a very good cause

For those who had issues with the SMP client before, myself included, I tried running it just the other day and it seemed much happier than I remember, so those with reliability problems, it may be worth giving it a go now.

It's too bloody hot at the moment to have my beast folding all day - and trying to keep the billz down.

Maybe do it over the winter when some of that 'leccy can be turned into useable heat!

Ditto. It can probably hack it, but I don't like my CPU running at +70c It'll have to wait until it cools down a bit before I foldz again.

Re: Ok so I been slacking recently...

It seems that huge amounts of time and money are spent on this folding; and I'm sure my Q9650 and twin Radeon 4870s could crunch a lot. But...has it ever actually achieved anything at all, ever? I have never heard of anyone saying "Well, through people doing folding, we have made this breakthrough", or anything...

They actually list papers that have been written thanks to F@H on their website: http://folding.stanford.edu/English/Papers

Maybe if I ever go back to the green team. ATI cards just don't seem to be up to the task.
