    For those with children

    http://www.noradsanta.org/
Brilliant website for children on christmas eve where they can track santa.
Showed my nephew last year and he loved it. He was constantly checking it and when he saw santa in Germany i told him he'd better get to bed and acording to my brother that was the first time at christmas he's slep all the way through without making a noise.

NORAD take this pretty seriously. They once dispatched a couple of F16s when he strayed too close to Edwards AFB.

Seriously, though, it's a brilliant site, and my daughter's been following where Santa is for a couple of years now (she's 5).

    Re: For those with children

He, He. A friend of mine who has two children was talking to one of his mates, who also has children, and his mate told him this. His four year old was looking at a small box on the wall with a red light and was wondering what it was so he asked dad. Dad, seeing an opportunity, told him that every house has one of these and that it's a camera that allows Santa Claus to see whether children in the house have been good or bad (rather than just a boring alarm). So the four year old runs off and gets his little brother, 3, and promptly shows him the box carefully explaining that Santa could see if they were being naughty.

The next morning dad comes down the stairs and can hear talking coming from the hallway. He peeps around the banister and there's the 4 year old on tiptoes, looking up, talking to the little box with the red light telling Santa how naughty his brothers' been, bigging up his own behaviour and asking for presents!

My mate then pulled the same stunt on his little ones which worked last year. Unfortunately his little girl is now 5 and has a canny grasp on reality and knows what's real and what's not, but the 3 year old is still suckered. Bless em.

So am I and it's my trick too and when the telephone rings it's "Daddy Christmas" and when i'm observing my notes are letters to Daddy Christmas... Once when the telephone rang one little lad looked at me wide eyed and said "Shell? Can you tell Daddy Christmas i'm sorry for weeing in the sink! and I won't get coal will I?"

Had to lol when I heard my very young colleague who was trying to control her group tell them "See those Birdies? they are spies for Daddy Christmas, and they are watching you and will tell him how naughty ( not supposed to say that!) your being.... it worked, quiet ensued
