Beginning of the end for OcUK is it Gibbo?

I do sometimes miss the old feuds between certain Hexus members and Spie and his forum mods.

That and getting into the Dons Rooms repeatedly and leaking threads to all and sundry

    Only one so far, Pob.

I doubt it'd have stayed unaddressed, so I was, if you like, trying to cauterise the subject before it took off.

I didn't want to just shut down the issue without addressing and/or answering it, but nor do I really want to see it take off, because I've seen that. all too often before.

So the approach was to try to explain, then shut it down before it becomes an issue. Bear in mind, defamation can get people sued. If you call an individual a Nazi, and that individual is identified or identifiable, it opens that door. If such accusations damage that individual, then you have the basic elements of such a case. And, potentially, it wouldn't just be the person making the defamatory statements that gets sued, but the "publisher".

Defamation is an expensive business. It costs a lot to bring an action, and a lot to defend it, regardless of outcome. So, if you make such defamatory statements, and that person has the resources to spend £50k or so on a lawsuit, you're taking a whopper of a chance.

Therefore anyone feeling inclined to take such chances is cordially invited to take that chance somewhere else, 'cos Hexus doesn't want to be sitting beside them in court.

    HI there

Yep that is indeed me, I was able to get an AXIA upto 2GHz in the Vapochill though it was not stable at that speed but at the time it was consider quite special and back then was very quick. Yep its my old sig back in use.

Yep that's why I said you were right to address it
And addressing it not just deleteing it is a sign of a good Mod and one of the reasons I've stayed with Hexus.

Now I'll stop hijacking the thread, honest guv

    Welcome to Hexus

Once you have seen it you will never be the same
Life in the fast lane is just how it seems

@pumpman... TPR as Gibbo mentions is 'Team Pheonix Rising' we were the original OcUK 1st major fallout basically formed by all the Big Seti geeks in Nov 2001.

    Hi there

Yep when you think about it were talking about nearly 10 years actually, its a bloody long time and does indeed bring back some good memories, at least now there are great places to go to be amongst the old fold again.
