    i ended up coming out of work thinking i needed a supermarket but couldn't remember why - so went to corner shop and got booze instead
    Seems fair enough to me.
    Old age/the boozehas made you go a bit soft in the head.

    However, I only realised when I read this thread earlier, then had to dash to the shops for a bottle of pancake mix. So I cannot talk.

    I also forgot the maple syrup!

    The first time in years that I've forgotten, and I normally make the batter from scratch.

    weirdly i hadnt heard ANYTHING mention it before today, which is strange.

    we need a "remember remember" but for pancake day, and rather than gunpowder, treason and plot, we have eggs, flour and milk

    Just done ours, started all wrong so had to start again but they were lurrrrvely [worth the effort]

    The supermarket (tesco express) was full of all student types clambering to get the same stuff, oblivious that the spar opposite had all of the stuff actually in stock, and the store was empty!

    i t doesnt need to be a date it can be a pointer, after all there is SOMETHING that lets people know where it is.
