Re: are we all eating pancakes yet?

Won't be eating crappy English pancakes though, have to be one of the worlds worst pancakes. They are basically bland french crepes, and to top it off people cover them in lemon juice and white sugar! When did the second world war end again?

Canadian Pancakes are the freaking king of pancakes (a bit like Russian ones, they are an evolution of Russian ones) - http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Fluffy-...es/Detail.aspx. The key is separating and beating the the egg whites.

Adding a touch of vanilla or cinnamon works well.

Serve with blueberry's and bananas and maple syrup, or bacon and maple syrup (whatever, it has to be maple syrup - a number 1 grade if pos). Crème fraîche is nice with them too. Dont forget to push 2 knives down through the top of the stack, separate slightly then poor in the maple syrup and watch t ooze out the sides

We have them every Sunday morning
