I am surprised that Robot Kill was mentioned. I randomly run across it just by searching random flash games the other night (couldn't sleep) and it did keep me busy for a while. Didn't realise it was a trial until I completed it though *grr*

    Re: Suggest a timewaster!

I've always been a big fan of conventional aspect ratio and CRT monitors, tbh. The real swinger for that one was 2048x1536 @ 75Hz - you just can't get a TFT that does that!

Although reading the specs, it does refresh rates up to 160Hz... wonder if I could run it at 1280x960 120Hz for 3D...?

You've made me want to get one lol I've just got back my old Iiyama Vision Master Pro 17 inch that I bought in 2004 and paid quite a bit of money for it. am very tempted to go back to it and sell my TFT. The only downside to is that the CRT casing is white

30kg and two feet deep though. You could knock a hole in the wall to stick it through and I hope you have a sturdy desk!

There are loads of local pickups on 22" CRTs with no bidders had a quick look but none local to me. You might be starting a trend!

I still have a 17" CRT so anything is a improvement!

There's a dell one not far away from me, but I have no room on my desk for a 22 inch and at the moment my desk is looking for an excuse to fall apart anyway lol so lets not give it the chance.

    Re: Suggest a timewaster!

Per the manual (which I've now downloaded, along with the inf, security catalogue and colour profile ) it's 513mm x 484mm x 517mm - so a "mere" 19" deep, in fact!

To be fair, that's a whole 6cm deeper than my (well, my wife's, tbh) iiyama VM S700JT1, although I have some spare space behind my desk (which sits in a bay window) so I should be able to position it the same distance from my noggin as the old one And as to the weight, my desk is an Ikea Jonas

And for the record: as well as downloading the various files for my new monitor from Lenovo's very helpful support website, I've now had another cup of coffee, installed Office 2k7, and had lunch! Now, how to kill the afternoon...

    Re: Suggest a timewaster!

I still run a CRT and not going to a TFT for a while until either I decide to go down the 3D route, or they have displays that are capable of running higher than the 1080 HD resolution.

    Argh!

I've just called TNT as there's no tracking information on their website and they don't know where my monitor is! It's logged as having been collected, but they've got no scans of it anywhere - collection depot, delivery depot, hubs, anything!!!

Still, their customer service team's pretty good. Just need to sit and wait and see what happens now... *sigh*

If you are really bored then how about some work from home?

    Alternatively check this out.

    ONE OF A KIND PC.

i was hoping one eye had the HDD light in it and the other the power on so it would be constantly winking at you.

    EDIT sorry about your tracking.....

Aye - I have fond memories of my old Samsung SyncMaster 900SL.
    Society's to blame,
    Or possibly Atari.

My LCD is 2048x1152, or do you mean a lot higher? Like the 2048x1536 that Scary's getting?

I've had that a couple of times with City Link and it always arrived on time. Hopefully it's just a cock up and you'll still get it today .
