I just realised that since Zak33's entry mid May, there have been only 4 entries left for Scan about their service. And 3 of them are from me.
Are we not using Scan anymore, or are people just not leaving feedback?

Not leaving feedback
I always forget.
I don't leave feedback for Scan - they were so pitifully bad on multiple occasions in the past (before I knew about the trust system) that I've got no intention of starting to add good feedback until they've redeemed themselves through a few more flawless orders and RMA experiences.

It's far too open to abuse where Companies are concerned.
I find these rating systems are largely worthless:
- Open to abuse from fake/paid reviews.
- Data is largely out-of-date. I don't really care if a company helped someone two or three years ago - it's how they're doing at the time that matters.
- Can't add companies. A few years ago I tried to post a review of my experience of a company's customer support, only to find that they didn't exist as far as the database was concerned. Raised the matter and didn't get a response.
- The vast majority of my purchases don't require pre/after-sales support - me posting that my order arrived quickly doesn't really help someone gauge how good a company actually is.
Ok then - should the system be in place at all, or scrapped?
If, as the mood may appear, the system isnt being used, then surely it serves no purpose?
Do admins want to weigh in on this?

I'm with pauldarkside on this.
Me posting that Scan/Citylink were able to get an order to me exactly as they said they would and exactly as I would expect them to doesn't really add much in my opinion.
From that previous thread ::
This is garbage, i can honestly say hands on heart that every single feedback given for Scan weather it good or bad is 100% geniune, we would never abuse the trust system, however i am not niave enough to think that some people dont "abuse" it but we are not one of them, we work hard to get customers to leave feedback again either good or bad for all orders.
However its not the be all and end all, we can easily communicate with customer via hexus and you can usually get a reasonable idea of what of what we are about,
Thanks
I would say to drop it, nobody seems to use it and as has been said, its too open to abuse - unless of course it was setup so that only long term members here (1000+ posts?) were able to add to it? (and yes I know the two sites aren't linked but I'm just kicking some ideas about to see what we come up with)
Wouldn't that need a unified Hexus/Trust/forum login first? Always though having three accounts for one site* was excessive to say the least.
* Edit: I do realise it's technically not one site, but to the average punter, it's all still Hexus. Having multiple accounts just adds confusion, as is evident from the queries I've seen.
Or a minimal amount of time of being signed up to the site (actually a change like this could give the php boys a chance to join the two databases - by forcing people to add their hexus forum details at the same time...)
.. in fact - I would suggest a coding change to disable each account, until a matching forum id was added - this could be used on an activity based query on the forum database to ensure only active users were using trust.
