    legalise cannabis?

What are your views on legalising cannabis?

I think personally it should be a class a drug as it can cause phycosis very badly as it has done to me..

Went 2 weeks without touching weed over 4 months ago now and my brain got convinced my thoughts were other peoples, I could even feel what others were doing - when people near me drank I could feel the effects of this on myself. Led there to being 2 people in my brain talking crap about me that wasn't true - like a bad trip there is no way of escaping...4 months just to get back to what normal reality actually is.

IMO it should be illegal for good as it can mess people's brains up in a very big way. I might have over done it a bit by smoking an 8th to a q a day for 4 years but still, its not nice what it does long term.

I believe it makes all motivation disappear, permanently damages brain cells, also, the hippocampus gets altered for good...makes people too far away from reality to be with it, gets to a physical addiction and causes phycosis after long term use.

Don't even get me started on this, I smoked cannabis for well over two years whilst at college and still do but not as much due to university work etc.

It all depends on the mental state of the individual that smokes it. Its clear you have had problems so you should not touch it again. I used to smoke a 8th a day eaily as well and spent a fortune on it.

Tony Blair should take a look at Amersterdam and note that not everyone moves on to crack.

It should be legalised and taxed.

If you were smoking an eigth to a quarter of an ounce every day, what did you expect to happen? Sorry to be blunt, but that's just ludicrous.

Some people are alcoholic; should alcohol be class A as well?

Ultimately you chose to smoke a lot of weed for 4 years. Why should everyone be banned from using it just so that irresponsible people like you can be protected from themselves?

I'm sympathetic, I drink too much and I'm finding it hard to cut down, but you only have yourself to blame, and attempting to deny other people access to something just because it's not good for you personally is selfish and stupid.

It should be illegal in my opinion, and never legal!..

As too many young people, around my age, think its the cool thing to do, and its what you have to do on a Friday night with your mates?!. .I see no attraction to this myself and never have?!.. And believe it would only be better for everyone if the laws were stricter..As it seems to be too easily/widely available to 15 y/o + maybe even younger!

    Just my opinion..

Yeah, stricter laws, they've really stopped heroin and coke getting onto the streets.

If the government taxed it they would make a fortune, maybe they could shape up the NHS then.

yeah, i know ive only got myself to blame. Im just trying to make others aware of what it can do to the brain for good, thats all..even being around people smoking the stuff now makes me worse lol...comparing it to alcohol isnt totally right imo - that doesn't change the brain for good does it?

I did notice a "period" after giving up smoking for a bit in which the world did appear to become a much more attractive place to be instead of being stuck in my room smoking. I am fine now though, never had a problems although they do say it hits you in later life.

If you made it legal it wouldn't be as naughty so less people would do it

I did it for 2 years straight smoking about an eighth a day, i eventually completely quit and i'm fine now

Alcohol is involved in something like 65% of violent crime and about 80% of domestic abuse.

Never really bothered with it that much, I'm all up for legalising it though - I have done it occasionally.

I agree with Kezzer, less people would do it if it was legal, I could get stuff like mushrooms or poppers that are legal, but I've never bothered, I've just kept to the weed.

when it first happened I had no choice but to do a lot more just to try and get my mind focused on something other than what was going on in the brain. Being stuck in my room made it worse so i just had to go see mates and things and talk to loads of people nearly every second I was awake.

Glad your fine now mate, hope u dont have anything bad happen.

If alcohol was discovered today it would be a class A drug imo.

If you were going to keep it consistent with the rest of the legislation on drugs, then I think you're probably right - any sort of recreational drug use would simply be illegal.

In fact, any sort of recreation with any vague risk element might be made illegal - hey kids, you know skateboarding? well, it leads to a career in graffiti and criminal damage, and you might break your leg, so we're banning it. Tennis? Tennis costs the NHS 4 billion pounds a year (lie) in treating everyone's elbows - it might be good fun, but sorry, you're obviously a danger to yourselves, stop it.

Let's all go and lock ourselves away in padded rooms away from the dangers of this hideous reality. SAVE ME GOVERNMENT, SAVE ME.

Exactly, and tbh you bought it on yourself man, A Q a day is ridiculous, that'll last most people 3 or 4 weeks.
