I got the top of my left ear, top of right ear and my tongue done...

Just taken them all out cus I have a job interview.

Sadly I have to take my piercings out for work, and as a result, all but one has sealed up

In my prime I had:

Medusa
Labret
Lowbret
Third Eye (aka vertical bridge)

I loved 'em, but now i'm left with only my labret. Still, boss says im allowed to get my tongue done, as it's not like i'll be sticking my tongue out at the judge in court!

Tattoos though, that's another topic entirely! I have one on my inner right wrist (the symbol for 'sanctuary' from the Blade comics/films), one on my neck ('angel' in cantonese), and im two thirds through my leg piece, nine 9" long solid black triangles going up my leg from my ankle

Just get drunk first. Nothing hurts then.

Any piercer who will pierce you when you are drunk should be avoided. If you are really not into the 'pain' (soreness more like!) find a place that has the anesthetic-cream-stuff.

i work for a financial institution, and i've got piercings

Most places don't mind that much if your not working with the customers face-to-face. All the insurace places in Norwich (All of Norwich Union, Virgin One Account, eSure, Tesco & Sainsburys Insurance) there is no problems. In all public services I know of piercings are fine, so long as they dont break health and safety. Ive worked in both NHS & a University and neither has had problems.

My friend works in schuh and he has 3x lip rings, eyebrow, 12mm flesh tunnels in both ears, industrial in one ear, 8 tattoos... and his manager likes them all!

I'm not so brave... I've only got the top of my right ear done as an addition... didn't realise I wasn't going to be able to sleep on my right side for a year!
I don't tend to have anything in it at the moment, but it's still there...

My sister has had her tummy done twice... I couldn't do that... nononono

I doubt i'll get any more any time soon. I've mainly been getting more because my best mate needs to practice on people. He recently got a scarification done, now, if you've ever seen one you'd realise how horrific they are. You literally get sliced open and for as long as possible you have to keep the wound open and not let it heal up so it'll scar more.

The amount of blood and how deep you can see into the wounds is horrible. I think it'll look cool when it's healed though

As for the costs of my piercings, obviously i'm getting them cheap due to an apprentice piercer doing them, i got my two rings on my left ear for £8 altogether, my anti-tragus for £10, my right hand-side of lip and tragus for £40 and my left hand side lip for £25

It should be £25 per piercing usually

As for people looking down to people with piercings, you're doing so because you're following a stereotypical, narrow-minded view due to a spread of inappropriate propaganda throughout time. We don't have issues with you because you don't have piercings, therefore you should respect our decision to do as we please with our bodies. It's not hurting anyone else, it's not dis-respectful and there is absolutely no difference between getting your ears pierced and your face pierced, they're all just piercings.

nah, he works in the best piercing place over here as an apprentice. He changes his gloves 4 times throughout the whole piercing process, that's how clean it is

only 4? i've seen my piercer (tho he gave up piercing at christmas cos he hated his boss heh) change his gloves 6-7 times in 1 piercing.

Anyways, just come off the plane, so cba to read the whooooooooole thread.
