Another thought: much dialogue in many situations can seem redundant, yet it can still be functioning as a kind of social glue. If you prefer, imagine the "nice job scan" crowd in miniskirts waving pompoms - I know that works for me.

I must say this is amazing, I just bought a Auzentech soundcard off SCAN and saved just over £6 on DEL.

This makes SCAN one of teh cheapest places to buy stuff off for me because I usualy just Froogle the cheapest places based on DEL as some places charge a fiver, others more for next day del.
