    Scary..

    Was at school this morning and I was about to go to the first lesson, so stood up.. and you know sometimes when you get dizzy from standing up suddenly? (I get it sometimes but it's rare), well that happened, but it kept on happening, then I went blind in my right eye...... so I thought it might go away so walked to Science.. then I thought, **** it im off to the doctors because this is scaring me now..... so went to the school office and told them about it, I saw the nurse as they phoned my parents.. and they thought it might of been a migrane..... anyway, i started to get my sight back slowly (half my vision, then a quater.. then a little small blob, then disapeared).

    Went to the doctors and he said he seems like a migrane since I got a headache and felt sick.. went to the opticionist (sp) and he said everything is OK!.

    Thank god for that, was very scary when I just went blind in one eye all of a sudden.

    Nah, not really that rare. I've got a worryingly low blood pressure so when I stand up I go blind in both eyes. If I've been laying down for a while and stand up it'll stay like that for quite a while. It can happen quite easily with migraines.

    Its been ages since I last had a migraine, I used to keep a diary and can conclude headache tablets (they know who they are) were the cause of them...

    When I used to take them I'd have migraines as often as every week, I stopped taking them and the frequency reduced to about every month; but now I haven't had one since July.

    It is a good idea to keep a note of your migraines, I did and I found the cause of mine to be headache tablets...how deliciously ironic eh?

    Interesting though!.

    Only thing I think that could of caused it so far is;
    Caffine.. had coffee this morning, and at school a bottle of lucasade,
    Blood pressure... I bike to and from school everyday, had cafine and no breakfast this morning - could that change it?,
    Skipped a meal... breakfast.

    Been reading up on it and they are the only things at the moment I can think of.... but I've done the above plently of the times before with nothing happening.

    My eye sight turned a creamy colour, couldn't see anything out of my right eye at all.. just the tiniest bit of outlines of people in white- Would of lied down if I could, but I don't think the teachers or pupils would appreicate me lieing down on the desk or on the corridoor floor

    I used to have that happen all of the time. I kind of grew out of it after I turned 20. The only change in my lifestyle was that I stopped exercising completely.

    It used to happen to me until I started taking iron vitamin tablets. Not happened since I started taking them.

    Thats called a head rush; lovely in general; evil when you have a headache...

    I especially hate migraines as they completely obliterate you for the time you have it and even after the actual migraine has gone, you are left with a dirty headache...

    I strongly recommend keeping a diary of when you have migraines... Nice being able to almost predict when the next one will be
