WOW! Thanks all. The speed and amount of responces you get on here still amazes me!

Had a fiddle and atm its running at 1280x1024@85hz and seems much better, but still not quite right. Maybe I just need to adjust as I'm so used to my cheapo 22in TFT.

Yup 1280*1024 is your optimal res says so in the online manual thing which is the top link in google

Is 85Hz better for you in terms of not getting a headache? Hopefully yes and everybody is happy

Yep, found it right at the top of google, gawd knows why I didnt have the inteligence to do that in the first place!

Now my eyes have adjusted, its perfect, no headaches and the static/dust has cleared.. Well chuffed with this for a freebie and its blowing my Belina TFT away when it comes to colour accuracy, figure can only get better when I can be bothered to calibrate it properly. Also gonna save me a fortune in heating costs this winter like Jon said, so yay!

    Cheers again all.

    Re: 19in CRT native res?

I use a CRT as my primary monitor - much prefer it to most TFTs

85Hz should be enough to stop headakes / flicker for almost everyone. I do however use one at work with 120Hz rate
