cannot access my screen

I have recently installed a new motherboard and cpu (Abit KV8-Max3 and athlon 64 3000+) everytime when I start my computer the screen goes on standby? how come

i have used with two different graphic cards but i'm still having this problem?

when i use the two graphic cards and the monitor with another motherboard and cpu everything is oke.

please can you help me.

What do you mean goes on standby?

Does the screen turn on at all when booting up e.g. for the screen with IDE drives, CPU speed, RAM, etc.?

Have you tried a different monitor?

Does it seem like the system is booting up fine apart from the fact that the monitor isn't displaying?

Try changing the ram in your new mobo.Also could you list your pc specs as that would help.What ram you using?

could be a number of things.

Does the screen go str8 to standby or does it do part of the boot sequence firs.t

Did you nudge your grafix car - reseat it.

Reseat all the new components.

Do the normal things like hard drive and cd drive fire up - you should be able to hear / feel them
