    USB2 problem with MSI K7N2 Delta-L mobo

    Dear all,

I can't seem to get USB2 devices to function at its high speed standard on my system.

The mobo i have is the MSI K7N2 Delta-L found here:

    http://www.msi.com.tw/program/produ...ail.php?UID=436

The Operating system i'm running is Windows XP Pro with Service pack 2 installed.

My mobo definately has support for USB2, yet i cannot get it to work.

    Please look at this:

The BIOS is up to date, i don't currently have any other hardware problems.

I transfer a 20MB file to a Kingston 1GB flash USB2 stick, it took 25 seconds. If it was operating at USB2 speeds, it wouldn't have the transfer rate of a USB1.1 speeds, i tried also to transfer the same file to a USB1.1 drive, more or less the same time.

The problem is pretty imminent here, the Kingston USB2 drive is routed under the OPENHCD controller but NOT the EHC

I tried plugging in all my USB ports (4 at back, 2 at front) to no avail.
All is routed to the OPENHCD... every USB device i have.

A more clearer view of the USB connections:

What i don't know now is, whether this is a Hardware OR a Software problem...

doubt it is a hardware problem more than likely software, have you tried updating all the drivers? and checking for any info on this issue on the msi website or forums if they still exist?

also do you get the "your bla bla is connected to a high speed port but running at slow mo speed" message thing?
